Thanks for the luv fellas. No doubt I would not have made as far as I have without the knowledge provided by some of the generous mods/ posters who have donated there time and expertise. Much respect! Hoping for 5 oz total from 5 plants (c:

No, I'd just keep them on water and let them eat from the leaves. Personally, I don't remove any leaves till they are totally dead.

Muddy,

Should I put them back on nutrients? A got quite a few leaves close to the bud that are dying to. Should I be plucking those off.

So I decided that this would be the weekend to harvest my plants. SInce my last poost almost all of the leaves have yellowed or died including those very close to the buds. Turned the lights off last night at 6PM so I figure I will give them 36 hrs of dark before harvesting. I figured that I would manicure them prior to chopping tho I have seen it done both ways. Exciting times! Humidity in the room I plan to hang the ladies charts in at 38% so I figure they will hang for about 5 days. Is it OK to close pin them to hangers or is there a better way. Might have to cut them up as hanging from the main stem seems like it would be awfully heavy.

Bseals-

I'm still jealous of your KVS. Getting that Lemon Funk. I got a lack of three, but all but one did not make it )c: Do not have alot of faith in the last one either. 2 of 3 RRF are going at about 1 week tho. Should be receiveing another pack next week due to a shipping error.

OK. SO I have been researching the drying curing threads. It seems that growers are chopping the plant first and then removing all leaves including the sugar leaves which I presume are the leaves with trichs on them. My primitive Dry Room was to hang in the closet from hangers. Is this adequate? I see boxes with screen and all that. Any help here would be greatly appreciated as I am in unchartered waters.

Sounds good. I'm really looking forward to seeing how much you get off of them. Yes, clothes pins are fine, that's what I use all the time. I leave a bit of stem on them so pin to, then cut it off after they are dry. Won't hurt them a bit. I have some twine strung in my garage that I use for drying. I manicure, cut the individual buds and pin them to the line using spring loaded clothes pins. Works great.

I always manicure right after I chop. Some people like to let me dry and then manicure I find it easier while they are fresh . And you should be fine hanging in the closet just make sure your humidity isn't to high and there aren't any fans blowing on the the buds cuz they will dry to fast and still have that hay smell

Thanks Bseals. Saved me another question as to use a fan when drying or not. So how would I prepare my area after chopping them down. Maybe building paper on a table as a staging area after chopping them down. I do not have a fish scale or something to accurate weigh. Got a little 4" square blade scale. My lady wants to make butter but really just like the idea more than know how. Seen hash made using ice on youtube, but sounds like a move for the more experienced grower. I would be happy with just quality smoke.
