New Grower Cosz First Grow

So I finally figured out how to take photos with my phone so I will try to attach a few.

Strain: WOS Afhan Kush Ryders Fem (5of7 made it)

Medium: Roots Organics 707 formula

Light: 400HPS 24/0 so far 20/4 at flowering (14-18 inches above plants)

Temps: 80-82F with lights on

Nutes: Only used Superthrive as Seedlings,Cal/Mag (with waterings)
Have AN Sensi Grow 2 part.

Age: 14 days

Enviroment: 5 Gal Tallpots Bathroom Grow/1 fan/ Window

Water: R/O (Cal/Mag)


Some of the ites I am considering are LST method but I am unsure if In have enough room for that. I typically fill a 1 gallon jug with water and split that among the five ladies. When should I start to feed the nutes. 1/4 strength for the first week starting at week 3?Gradually increasing to 3/4? Have spent hours enjoying the information on this site. Matter of fact this has become the only one I frequent, not to mention post.

Hey Cosz, glad to see you got your grow journal started. Your plants are looking good.

Yes, start giving 1/4 strength nutes in a couple more days. Maybe two feedings at 1/4 and then give em one at 1/2 and see how they like it. I wouldn't worry about LST or any other advanced techniques right now. Just grow them so you can learn from them and get a better idea of what growing is about. Down the road you can experiment with other things, get the basics down first.

Jackal just had a quick look at your previous MI5 grow and it rocks. I had a go at Onyx last time out but messed up. I'm planning to have another go soon and will be watching your current grow with interest.

Thanks guys. Muddy I will take you up on your advice.No LST. I have since added thes clever little ratchet ties that allows me to adust my light. My leaves are canoeing on me a little bit but the color is strong. Is my soil level too low?

Thanks for the encouragement. Do you have a recommendation for a heavy pine tasting Indica Auto? Feel free to drop some pointers on me (c: As you can see I tend to over analyze things a bit.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Sativas are OK IMO. I like a nice Sour Diesel every now and then. It sems there are a couple of hybrids that sound appealing. Iranian,Diesel Ryder, and RRF all sound like they have some of the OG Kush traits that I enjoy. When I first joined I asked the question if they were making the OG into an auto. I believe they mentioned that it was not yet stable. My leaves are canoeing on me a bit. IS that normal in the eraly stages of growth? Was guessing that maybe my light was set too high, but its 16" max above the canopy.

Canoeing could be a sign of over feeding. I'm not familiar with the soil you are using. Does it have nutes or a high amount of N in it? Also, have you feed them yet and if so, how much.

I have not fed the plants anything outside of Water/Calmag so I am not sure how that could be the issue. The leaves seem to flatten out as the plant gets larger. The soil sounds pretty similar to except ithails from Eugene, Oregon. I believe you can use the bag to grow from.

I am going to take some more pictures and see if I can not get more feedback.
