Indoor Copacabana, Muay Thai, Love Potion LED tent grow

Here's some weights I promised earlier.
:bong:

Bag dried everything around 5-8 days before jarring, except the Muay Thai was hung in branches for 4 days before bagging.

Copacabana in at 198g, she's still curing down from 62% rh to actual desired smoking dryness, maybe 190g or so at the end.

I estimate I threw out 30-40% due to caterpillar damage and a tiny bit of rot so was around 10+ potential ounces on the vine.

It's disappointing to throw buds away but I felt the earlier harvest was a little too energetic for me--I'm quite happier with less bud but a more mature high in this case.

The Thai actually smoked really well with early testers. Even the finished buds still look immature in terms of pistil color, there are a few tops with 80+% brown pistils but much of the plant is 50/50 brown and white pistils. If you handed it to me I would probably chuckle a little it just looks like a fail, definitely a miss on bag appeal but the potency is in there my brothers!

Muay Thai is coming in as the champion at 250g, and she did that in a 3 gallon pot. She might still sweat down to 240g, but it's quite a haul! I'm sure with proper treatment and a larger pot she can blow past this mark.

I did previously discard some bits that may have been affected by rot but it was pretty minimal, maybe 20g or so.

I really like Muay Thai for her forgiveness with the grow conditions. Her smoke is my fave this round--and that's not to take anything away from the other strains but I think she's really a great sativa and is one I want to grow again.

I've got plenty of jars here now, enough I will donate a fair amount to a couple patients who can use it. I think another patient can help me out with some more indica smoke so I can end up with a balanced supply of meds.

The cured smell (Love Potion) and curing smell of Devil Cream are really nice at this point, I feel I lost some flavor though in terms of how they smoke. They're not harsh at all, the smell is there, but the flavor leaves something to be desired. I assume I messed up a little with the nutes. Perhaps the Hula Bloom is to blame, I dunno. Now that I see I can grow a decent sized auto I'm going to try some different nutes, probably try organics, and see if by avoiding any boosters I can get a tastier bowl at the end. There's certainly room for improvement and that keeps the hobby interesting....

I'll post full smoke reports at some point after everything has cured and I have enough time to smoke it all.

For some general impressions:

MUAY THAI: Really like it. Some mind-expansion but not spacey for me, is actually grounding if toked in moderation. Has some body relaxing effect as well. Creative. Definitely a keeper if I can figure out better methods to control her size.

LOVE POTION: I think this is actually the most potent of all the buds I grew. She has cured down to a fruity dank aroma like peach or nectarine, very pleasant. Effect is minimal at first and builds over 5-10 minutes or so, I feel this one is the most "psychedelic" of the buds I have. Not in a trippy or uncomfortable sense, but it gets me up there where I'm like "man, I'm up there a couple levels beyond normal cruising altitude", you know? It seems to lower my blood pressure while energizing the heart and mind. High feeling sativa, no body, pleasant. I just prefer the Thai more but I like this plant as well.

COPACABANA: Less to say about this one, early testers were good but a little racy for me. I haven't smoked much of it yet so I'm reserving opinions for now. I don't normally medicate until late night due to my schedule and responsibilities. It seems she might keep me awake but it's potent enough and very energetic, as advertised.

DEVIL CREAM: I like this one a lot. It's still got that nice fruity blueberries smell as it cures down, like blueberry pie. I think anybody would like the smell. This exemplar has a mostly sativa effect, but a good mix of head and some body too. Good active weed. I like the Thai better, for me, but I'm really happy with this offering from Sweet Seeds and I'll have to try some more of their gear. It grew very nicely and did not show any weird nute sensitivity or anything like that, and did produce a bit over 4 oz. The colors at the end were really eye catching.

SOUR BUBBLY: Most difficult to grow due to this seed starting flowering so late, it did not get the best weather outside either, yet somehow it produced about 3 1/2 ounces, of which I kept 2. The rest had caterpillar damage and/or was way too immature to keep. If had been started earlier in the year, it would have been a monster plant, probably producing at least double what it did. Mitch at Mephisto was kind to send some more seeds of her direct to play with next year.
She's got good aromas and was just a super super sticky plant. It's a strong relaxing effect but doesn't couchlock so you can still focus or get up and do things if you want to. After hearing all the good things about Mephisto gear, I can see why there are so many satisfied growers, and will be trying some of their other strains next round!

This grow is basically finished up, but I'll still pop in and answer any questions if they come up, or you can PM me if there is something you would like to know about the show.

Thank you again for your interest, and it's been a pleasure to share a successful auto grow here with AFN. It was an honor to have Love Potion and Copacabana nommed to the BOM/POM competition.

I'll be busy over the holidays, probably come back later this winter with a new round and try some new methods and new strains.

Wish you all well and success with your growing until then...:thanks:
:passit:

Thanks, Scally, I appreciate that. I enjoyed seeing your plants too, brother, I hope they smoke nice for you.

I know I've been lazy here lately with the camera as far as the bud shots go, I do intend to give a few of those but just been busy and the buds are still curing.
Here's a close-up pic of the Love Potion that looks half-decent, lighting wasn't really good but I think you can see from here this bud has a fair share of amber, more than most of them.

Here's a pic of a Sour Bubbly nugget, I broke all the buds down into pieces so I could go through everything and make sure it was clean. She smelled really nice and fruity when fresh harvested, the small leaves were very resinous so left a lot of those on as you can see

Hey bro, thanks for understanding my pain at the bin,
I'll maybe go neem drench for any plants going out next summer to try and ward off those caterpillar moths,
I'll give you a ringy-dingy when I get a better master plan going next time

I look forward to it dude.
Have you ever considered using this to prevent mold?
I know a few people using it as a preventative all the way up to harvest.
