After all that holiday rush where i was gone 4 days in a row twice things have been doing alright in the grow room. Things were severely dry when i got back both times but the plants showed no problems related to that.
As usual, the first 5 ahead of the rest are on Day 55. Ive developed a good base for feeding of 3ml A/B, 1/2 strength Sonic Boost mix, 2ml CalMag with tap and 4ml with RO, 1ml/2L Silica and 2ml B-52 added when the time is right. I start with this and then add upon it for those that can take more of have a def.
I will be getting some Overdrive or something similar and Flawless Finish at the end of the week. I think i should replace the Sonic Boost (Big Bud) with the Overdrive if i remember correctly. Going to have to look that one up again haha.
NL x BB Fem Auto #1 The first one of the old generation that has been problem free and im loving it. The top leaves are like that because of the tanning bed sending light from any direction. Thats my theory anyways...
NL X BB Fem Auto #2 Smallest of the first gen but first to bloom and biggest buds sofar. All deficiencys are in check.
NL X BB Fem Auto #3 Still having constant issues with this one.....but managing to keep it alive and budding so thats worth something right? haha. Still alot of leaf to go before she goes bald so i can keep her going until i think i have no option but to cut.
Lemon Skunk Fem Auto. Finally starting to bud up! I tried tucking and pruning a few leaves for light penetration but shes so dam bushy that i dont know what to do anymore. Will most likely give her a few rounds in the tanning bed or something.
Jack Here Fem PHOTO (Jackie) The side chick seems to be doing really well just chilling out from under the lights. She is getting fat and bushy since the FIM. Might have to flower her alone under all my lights when i move in March or put her outside as soon as possible to get a huge tree out of it.
Second Gen is at DAY 48.
NL X BB Fem Auto #4 The runt of the family but very nice buddage without any wasted space. Should still get around 1.5-2 oz from it in the end.
NL X BB Fem Auto #5 The tall one has been doing great since i moved it and #6 to the tanning bed last week. Its loving the extra light and starting to bud at full force.
NL X BB Fem Auto #6 This one may very well be my favorite with bud sites literally everywhere from head to toe. The buds seem to be taking longer to fill in in comparison to #2 which is the same height but less leaf and bud sites.
Looking back at my last update 12 days ago i really see how much progress is going on and i love it. If i had not started this journal on AFN i doubt i would of logged anything nearly as detailed as this if at all.
Now lets go through the list of what i have learned/achieved sofar:
-Autoflowering plants and AFN are freaking awesome! *check*
-You can grow amazing buds with T5s and a tight budget *half-check*
-I really enjoy growing and seem to have a green thumb *check*
-I will now always be stricken by anger and fear whenever i see a bug anywhere in the house *check*
-Have a basic nutrient mix to satisfy this specific strain perfectly with only a few minor variances *check*
-Learned to understand my plants and medium and let them tell me what it is they need/want *check*
-4100K lights can be used to supplement if you got nothing else (USE WHAT YOU HAVE) *check*
-Different strategies with lighting can result in different plant structures in veg. (Very easy to do with T5s) *check*
That all i can think of for now. The only experiment i still have in mind is to compare the end results of #2 and #6 in final wield and quality. They are the same height with similar structures but #2 has less bud sites and is more of an open structure while #6 has many bud sites and more leaf to block the light penetration tot he lowers aswell. so will less bigger buds yield over many smaller buds is the question here.
Let me now if theres anything more you guys want to know about any of the plants. I feel like i may not of gone into details enough to satisfy some of you and wouldnt mind learning about what else to include.
Grow on folks!
