Dutch Passion CBD Skunkhaze, Mazar, Masterkush and Ortega Indica in a SCROG under GN LED

Day 36/17

Almost there, a bit more stretch and the screen will be full. By the looks of it they still have a few more days of stretch in them. Especially the Masterkush is stretching with new pale looking growth. I will bump the feed next time to 4/5 dose, or maybe I go @hardon on them and give them full strength

I have a slight dilemma with the Skunkhaze. I have 4-5 really nice side shoots along the edge of the screen. The problem is that they all end up clumped together as the lower branches are stretching more than the upper branches. Basically they would all ideally be in the same hole in the screen. One or two always ends up too high or too low in the canopy. Towards the end of stretch I can tie them to the screen to adjust the height a little but I'd like to have them decently lined up.
I'd like to have the main cola over in the lower left corner, if doesn't reach there I will slide the whole plant over and that would give me more space for the side-shoots as well. I will let them go a few more days before deciding.
Other than that it's looking good. I think the screen will be suitably filled not too overcrowded. That being said, I will probably remove a few more smaller branches before flower. I already got rid of two of the Ortega branches as they were starting to interfere with the Skunkhaze.

On the right side you can see the branches I was talking about before.

Thats a nice screen buddy.

Thanks mate!

I checked in on them today and they're still stretching quite a bit, lots of lime green growth. Today is watering day so I gave them a full dose of bloom nutes with 1ml/l of Mg and I'm stopping the Rhizo from now on. They have a really strong veg smell, almost as strong as the flowering smell.

IT will be interesting to note if they hold that smell all the way to flower. My Auto Euphoria was one of the stinkiest plants in Veg but as she went into flower that aroma vanished. Finding it hard to smell anything but it is there just not as strong as it was.

That's interesting. My feeling is that they won't hold the smell, it's a very typical veg smell although unusually strong but we shall see.

Day 40/21

The screen is pretty full and stretch is starting to slow down and now it's a matter of fine-tuning the canopy before leaving them alone to flower. I might still cut a few side-branches. I cut most of the branches of the Ortega, leaving the main cola and three side-branches. I'm watering it everyday and the other 3 every 3 days. I gave them a feeding of 4/5 bloom nutes and 1ml/l Mg.

The Ortega is settling in nicely in its corner. It's the furthest into flower of the 4. It's looking pretty dark green so I might throw in a plain water feed here and there. At the moment it's getting nutrient feed every day.

It's really starting to come together now dude!

There are couple of candidates for a super cropping in there...

Cheers,
Hardon

Thanks mate! Depending on how much they continue to stretch that might be necessary. I'm trying to let the branches around the edge grow a bit taller to get more light from the side. I'm also trying to keep the density a bit lower to see if I can utilize the vertical space better in that way. I tried to promote the bigger branches by letting them take over, survival of the fittest style. The smaller branches will be left behind and possibly culled unless there is an open area anyway.
I've noticed that the stems are starting to stiffen up and pulling them under is getting trickier so hopefully it will only need some minor adjustments. I don't know about you but I'm never quite satisfied with how it looks. There are always a few places where it could be better.

I love the look of your tent when the screen gets full, clean, bright and full of happy plant. Cant wait to see it kick on from here.

Thanks Derek, I'm really glad to hear that! I'm curious to see how it turns out with fewer, hopefully, bigger colas this time.

I hear ya man! You never quite get it to look just like it does in your mind  I noticed a couple of your branches have really thickened up and look like they ain't moving anymore hence why I suggested SC'ing them. But for the most part you've got a pretty level canopy so it mightn't be required.

Great work so far man!

Hardon
