I usually pull off all the dead/almost dead leaves, then start chopping branches and trimming and manicuring each before I hang it to dry. I leave a long enough stem so I've got room to attach the spring loaded clothes pins I use. Once they are dry enough all I need to do is chop off that excess stem and they are ready to go into the jar.

What's the deal.....is it easier to trim then chop or chop then trim.

How I usually do it is fell the bastards like trees one at a time. I take it then and cut all the side colas off and pile them. I trim the Main cola first and set it aside. I take the veggie leaf and trash it. I take the sugar leaf and pile it separate for hash or brownies. I usually use a brown paper bag for those cuttings. The rest I leave as twigs with buds on them and tape them to coat hangers and let dry for seven days in a dark, cool environment. Then 30 days of being kept in a Jar, cracking the jar once a day for 15 mins. Then its dried and cured and ready for smoke Hope this helps.

Thanks man that helps....what are veggie leafs????? Also do you chop down then trim.....and when you cut down do u cut where base of plant meets soil, or do you ll it up then chop and trim?????? Thanks for the info

OK just chopped and hung will have pictures soon...only chopped two of them other two are not ready...have a question I have a Honeywell hepa style air purifier with UV,and optional ionizer...like 250.00$$..have this in my drying closet...humidity is at 50%, temp is at 76..question is will the ionizer effect my buds during curing,I think not would probally help.
