Hey @blue or anyone that can help, I am about to start my first run and I am going with coco and blumats and later on rockwool. My tap is 425ppm so I'm going to go with filtered water, so you think I'll get by with what I have? It's my first so I don't want to go crazy with nutes and I saw a few people with just the basic run of nutes.
Been growing 10 years in coco. is simple just as @blue says make sure you have a ppm and ph meter Ph should be around 5,8-6 Watch cal-mag around day 25 onward. Coco imo is far quicker and higher yielding than soil Cheers

You got more nutes than me  ... I think you'll be okay!

Personally i'd stick with Rhizo, CocoA&B, Boost and a PK booster. The cannazyme i've used before, but wasnt' 100% sure it made that much of a differnce over 1 grow when i always replace my coco.

The PK addition will really help in the floweing phase to fatten and dense up the buds.

Don't forget to keep your PH in check! :D

Good luck!
Blue ^_^

:d5:
I have canna substra for rockwool I'm going to eventually do a side by side grow, besides that I only have coco a&b and rhizo and zyme for both coco/rw on canna's website these 2 are the basic nutes for coco and/or rockwool but yes it does look like I have the whole catalog, but I couldn't afford the boost because it's really expensive and if pk is important I still have plenty of time since its not to be added until flower.

Thanks for the info I definitely got the 2 meters they been very helpful! That's how I found out that I have worse water than I thought I had lol but thanks for the info

Yeah, the boost is expensive - I tried with and without and it made quite the difference.

PK addition is very important in every grow during flowering. It will make the difference between fluffy buds and fat dense buds.
I'd avoid Canna PK13/14 ... the instructions are rubbish and awesome growers don't use it lol .. Dutch Pro are coming on site soon i think - Look at their PK booster called EXPLODE! it's again crushingly pricey ... but it really really works :D

I need some advice from my fellow coco growers. Im growing in coco, some reused by canna, and some from Earth juice. I have some of the plants indoors and some outdoors. Ive been reading many other coco forums and I want to talk about something I haven't seen on this thread.
Runoff EC. Ive read that if you feed and check runoff EC and its lower than what you feed then the plant needs more nutrients. If what you feed comes out the same in the runoff EC then you hit the "sweet spot." If the EC is higher than what you feed with (by 100-300 ppms) then its salt buildup.then I heard Ive runoff EC is pointless (in coco). "The reason given for the number being so high is the potassium from the cation exchange. You feed cal/mag and it releases potassium." Ive already messaged Canna (waiting for reply) but I want to know if you guys know anything about runoff EC.
Im feeding plants, outdoors, around 0.65EC and checking runoff EC constantly (every watering) to keep my ppms/ec the same as I feed (trying to find that sweet spot.) Everytime I water the ec/ppms are constanly moving up and Im like "WHY!!!?" Im in week 5 of flower and I dont want to burn them. I know im feeding too low but I dont want to risk burning them. I had one have burnt tips and when I checked runoff it was around 1.3EC. The coco was watered every three hours because the humidity outdoors is about 10-30%. Temps in the 90's-100's now. Maybe thats why my coco is acting up. The coco is now watered every two hours and the EC is still always rising (I want to pull my hair out!!!!) Maybe that concept I have of checking runoff EC is wrong. Still waiting on Canna. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

I wouldn't at all worry about runoff EC, As long as you get 10% runoff with every water. The 10-20% runoff serves as a mini flush, replacing the solidifying salts with fresh nutrient water. Make sure you're putting in the correct amount for a given stage of your plant. Don't water for runoff until probably week 3 of an auto plant

Any tips r advice for prepping/growing in bushdoctor coco coir???

Theres a thread by C.E, in the coco section, he states to treat coco like soil for the first week or two. This is to help the plant build/encourage its root system.
