I have NO memory. I keep track of each grow step by step by journaling it here on AFN. Every step, no matter how small. Then I can come back later and refresh my memory of what I did. I have found over the years I go back A LOT to peek at my old journals and see what worked and what didnt. That is how I dialed down my current method. You will do great! :smoking:
Quite right, god forbid! I do have a rough journal written down, nute mixes really while I’m the laundry room brewing.
Last two journals were very detailed, I’ll be doing the same for this one.
girls peaking their heads outa their coconut beds this morning!!:coffee2:
I’m all giddy again haha :woohoo:

Hey guys!
Some pro thoughts from you @blue would be ace and much appreciated!
I'm now about to transition into veg from seedling, at day 12, but feeling nervous about nute quantities.
Pretty much everywhere I look, people say to half if not quarter manufactures guidelines.
I plan on following C.E's coco guide and follow EC steps. Mixing nutes to EC however has pretty much doubled the manufactures guidelines!!
Base tap water has an ec of .1, initial seedling has been mixed to .6.
Seedlings definitely haven't been fried, I just don't want to be doing something glaringly wrong that may have consequences down the line. Im just baffled as to how Im doubling the recommended.

Thoughts appreciated from all and any!
Cheers:bighug:

I’m in seedling at the moment and haven’t moved onto week 1 veg.
right now im giving them the following
A&B @1.6ml per litre
Super @ .85ml per litre
I also have canna rhizo leftover from an old grow which I’m using at 2ml per litre.
All of this together equals 0.6ec, base ec 0.1.
Most of the time I see people saying manufacturers guidelines are way too hot, but I’m going the ec guide route and it turns out I need more. Just not sure whether I should just stick with the schedule or go with EC guidelines as I have been.
I also bring ph lower then suggested to 5.8

Mmmm rhizo is 40ml per 10 litres so i would stick 4ml per litre of that at this stage and for next 3 weeks. As for A&B go 1 ml per litre then 1 and a half then to 2ml by end of week 2 should be fine. Stick to schedule with the super but I'm not sure why they say the ph should be over 5.8 at some stages mine is allways 5.8 to 5.9 never changes?

That’s interesting to know on the rhizo front, as it’s an additional product to the line I went a bit lighter, but was going to stop with the last feed. On day 12 now and will probably not need to feed again for 2 more days still. As so I was going to start with the week 1 (grow 1) nute lineup as per the schedule, drop the rhizo and mix up in the same ratio to each other but bring it to an EC of .7.
That’s where I’m a little confused, how their recommendation has such a low EC, and whether I should be following what they say, or do what I’m doing by mixing up in ratio to an EC as recommended in a coco grow guide for autos on AFN.
No idea about the ph tbh, seems strange as to why they suggest such a high ph especially as seedlings love it acidic.
worst case scenario it all goes wrong! And then I’ll do another grow following their guide to the T!
thanks for the thoughts

600ppm on seedlings? Isnt that a lil strong? I usually start at about 150 on seedlings and work my way up. But I'm just starting in coco. 600ppm seems high for a lil baby tho.

Should I stop feeding them soon and just use phd water or reduce feed and continue to the end?

Hi Jackson, when you've finsihed this grow, I'll move all of your posts (and replys) to a thread of your own so it's not in the Canna Coco Grow tips thread.

Your 1st post in the thread was relevant (as you'd just purchased Canna Coco Pro Plus and had a question), but the rest is just your grow thread and cluttering up this one a bit.

As the OP - I don't mind people coming to the thread to ask questions specifically regarding canna coco, and all the wonderful help and replys that staff and members give, but a whole grow thread (with all the questions and replies to your grow) is a bit too much.

All the Best
Blue
