Bloody hell.
Just under 12 hours later, and Shamashs' tap root has grown another inch

I think this lady will be the keeper.
The tap root is right into the water now and looking a lovely pristine white
Amazing how quickly they can do stuff at this age - it even looks further ahead up top:

She isn't stretching as much as her older sister either - possibly why the root is more developed - concentrating on that rather than growing up, but what do I know
The tap root is about 3 times the length of the stem

New toys arrived

Took a grand total of 15 minutes to install and set up both controllers:

Humidity is set for 67.5% with a deviation of 5% - this means that the humidifier will come on when humidity drops below 62.5% for 1 minute.
No dehumidifier plugged in yet as it is not necessary at this stage.
The Heating control is set for 23C (73.4F) with a deviation of 2C. I Will probably up this 1 or 2 degrees, but I am just waiting to see how long the heater keeps heating the grow room after it is turned off (It is a 3kW Oil heater, so retains its heat for quite a while). If it gets too warm, then an extractor fan kicks in (This is a secondary fan used specifically for temp control rather than Air Exchange)
Also, the output to the heater goes through a timer, so the heater will not come on during lights off so as to give cooler night temps.

Check out the AC Infinity T6 Cloudline fans. With smart controller that can control 2 fans. Super quiet super efficient and in smart mode only runs as needed based on thresholds I set on controller.
I rarely add CAL/MAG these days mainly just being proactive. With Green Planet MediOne u just don't need it.
Check out Growing Exposed on YouTube, the big grow houses they tour all use Green Planet, we are talking up to 700 light facilities or 7 acre green houses.
Another Youtube show CannaCribs - Growers Network, visits big grows as well. There is one outside of Pueblo Co that is a 36 acre outdoor farm. Wife and I drove past it back in September.

What size grow area are you using the T6 in? I want to order one of these but I am in a 5x5x6 area and wasnt sure what size I needed?

Day 4 mini-update
Shamash looks to be enjoying her new home.
She didn't get too leggy and seems more than content at the minute.
The Inkbirds seem to be doing their jobs very nicely.
Light is currently at 20 Watts and about 10" above the top of the plant.
Some nice growth for only 2 days since the last update.
Colour is good and the leaves are juuuuust pointing up towards the light.

Nutrients (70 Litre total):
MegaCrop 2.0: 18.49g
Cal+Mag Pro: 5g
Sweet Candy: 9.25g

pH: 6.1
ppm (500 scale with 240ppm base from the tap water): 520 (280ppm/0.56EC with tap ppm removed)

Water temp: 18.9C
Air Temp: 24.6C
Humidity: 65.5%
VPD: 0.72


On a side note, the first girl (Ishtar) has been culled.
Here roots weren't forming fully, and she still needed to be supported after 14 days due to her stem being slim and bendy.
In addition, she wass extremely pale and just looked like she was not pulling any/enough nutrients.

Day 6 Update:
Nothing has changed really. Just some nice pics
Roots are coming along nicely and the tap root has started spitting out side-branches.

Oh, one thing has changed - I turned on a second air pump feeding 2 Airstones - that is 2 pumps and 4 Airstones now.

The pumps are not very high capacity though (but still decent), but I am preparing the roots for when I attach the bad boy pump (will replace the 2 currently in use).

The pump is sitting there looking at me screaming 'USE ME!! USE ME!!!' but I am trying to refuse until the roots bulk up a bit.

The tap root is about 4 times the length of the stem now.

Day 8 Update.

Just some minor info here.
Increased the Megacrop by 5g - works out at about 1.3g per gallon currently.
Also added another 2.5g of Sweet Candy (0.64g per gallon total).
I did not add any cal mag Pro as there are no issues so far with her current level (0.27g per gallon).

pH: 5.9
ppm: 580 (340 if you take away the base tap water ppm)
Water temp: 18.4C
Air temp: 24.5
Humidity 71%

The roots are developing nicely still and are pure white, so zero issues there.
Light is at 10" running at 20Watts
