DAY 7 UPDATE
All seems to be going swimmingly (pun intended) with
Ishtar at the minute.
ppm is dropping very slightly, but not enough to warrant any increase in nutrients.
All temperatures and humidity are in a nice range.
I have also added more Hydroton pebbles to the net pot for 2 reasons - to provide more support for the stem, and to prevent light getting into the tank through the holes in the top of the net pot.
Unlike my previous grows, there is no sign of any calmag issues or overfeeding at this early stage.
Current feed levels are :
Megacrop 2.0: 23.49g (0.336g/Litre)
Cal + Mag Pro: 9.25g (0.132g/Litre)
Sweet Candy: 9.25g (0.132g/Litre)
pH: 5.9
ppm (500 scale): 680 (includes 310 base ppm from the tap water). This is the equivalent of 370ppm/0.74EC when the base ppm is removed.
As usual, all readings can be seen in the spreadsheet in the first post of this thread.
The tap root should be popping itself out of the net pot inside the next few days.
No pictures for this one, as not much has changed.
I will, however, be modifying my system today to make it easier to do res changes.
I will be adding a (basic) in-line filter, 2 shutoff valves (there was supposed to be 3 of these, but one wasn't sent - it will be added when it arrives) and a t-piece connector. This will enable me to do res changes without having to take the pump out and hook it up to a different hose - Simply open one valve and close the other to divert the water to the drain.
