Seed Stockers Blackberry Gum RDWC with MegaCrop

When the schedule is on the right path, I generally harvest a plant every 2-3 weeks. I run my lights
24/0 so they always finish early or on time. With Mephistos u can run a 24/0 schedule. I go through way more than a gram a day. Lol.

I had started this off with half strength feeds compared to my previous grow, so as not to overfeed - I had massive N tox issues in my last grow.
Looks like I am under-feeding though as Ishtar has gone rather pale overnight.
I will gradually increase the feed over the next few days to see if I can add some colour to her.
I will also keep an eye out to make sure it isn't variegation as the paleness from that made me overcompensate previously.
The spreadsheet in the first post of this thread will show the changes I am making.

I think Ishtar will be a special one

I have a very good feeling for this run!:pass:

For reference, Shamash is the name of her (now deceased) twin :D

LOL. Thanks for the clarification there ;)

DAY 5 UPDATE
Still growing into the light even though she is getting saw-blade leaf edges.
Raised the lights about 6" higher to try and compensate.
She has darkened up a bit now after the increase in nutes a few days ago but still a touch light near the veins.
I will give it a few more days before changing the level of nutrients (if I do).

She is just over 4 1/2" now.

As usual, you can see ppm/pH and temps in the spreadsheet in the first post of this thread.

DAY 7 UPDATE
All seems to be going swimmingly (pun intended) with :dancer:Ishtar :dancer: at the minute.
ppm is dropping very slightly, but not enough to warrant any increase in nutrients.
All temperatures and humidity are in a nice range.
I have also added more Hydroton pebbles to the net pot for 2 reasons - to provide more support for the stem, and to prevent light getting into the tank through the holes in the top of the net pot.
Unlike my previous grows, there is no sign of any calmag issues or overfeeding at this early stage. :yay:

Current feed levels are :

Megacrop 2.0: 23.49g (0.336g/Litre)
Cal + Mag Pro: 9.25g (0.132g/Litre)
Sweet Candy: 9.25g (0.132g/Litre)

pH: 5.9
ppm (500 scale): 680 (includes 310 base ppm from the tap water). This is the equivalent of 370ppm/0.74EC when the base ppm is removed.

As usual, all readings can be seen in the spreadsheet in the first post of this thread.

The tap root should be popping itself out of the net pot inside the next few days.

No pictures for this one, as not much has changed.
I will, however, be modifying my system today to make it easier to do res changes.
I will be adding a (basic) in-line filter, 2 shutoff valves (there was supposed to be 3 of these, but one wasn't sent - it will be added when it arrives) and a t-piece connector. This will enable me to do res changes without having to take the pump out and hook it up to a different hose - Simply open one valve and close the other to divert the water to the drain.

DAY 8 UPDATE

I have been unhappy with the ppm as it is MUCH higher than my previous grow, even with less MegaCrop.
Turned out that the main culprit is the Cal+Mag Pro. 5g gives 100ppm increase (500 scale) in 70 Litres. I was using about 9.5g and that added almost 200ppm.
The MegaCrop 2.0 is also a higher ppm than the original.
I have done a res change and dropped the CalMag Pro to 5g.

Nutrients (in 70 Litres):

MegaCrop 2.0: 23.5g
Cal Mag Pro: 5g
Sweet Candy: 11.75g

Base water ppm(500): 280
pH: 5.9
ppm(500): 590 (1.18EC)
ppm - water ppm: 310 (0.62EC)

Still no tap root out of the net pot yet, but I am guessing (hoping) that should kick in by the weekend.
Will upload pics tomorrow as I left the damned camera switched on and need to charge the battery.
