Day 42



The plants keep filling up the cab and everything's great. Some nutrient burns on AKR as well as light bleaching on both of them. It's intriguing how AKR could probably soak up two times the grow but gets burnt by bloom nutes whereas NL is exactly the opposite.

Day 54

Damn it's been busy. I've moved to a sweet new apartment and things are slowly going back to normal. That's pretty much why I botched my regular update schedule... but it's all good.





Buds have fattened considerably, leaves have dropped like mad (probably because of all the time the plants spent in garbage bags) and the familiar, sweet smells of strawberry and coffee are getting more pungent each day. I've been force-feeding them bloom nutes but I'm uncertain if it's the culprit of all the browning, shriveling and drying leaves because it doesn't really seem to be connected to the dosing. pH is still fine, too so I don't really know what's up. On the other hand, they're so close to harvest that I don't mind. AKR should have a week or two to go but NL would probably take a week or two longer. However, if I can't throw together a separate drying chamber of some sort I'll be forced to chop them both on the same day.

I was thinking about a small rubbermaid container with a couple of holes on one end taped over with micropore and a single bigger hole on the other from which a hose leads to the cab which filters the odors.

I like to hang dry using a U-Haul Wardrobe box ... keeps out the light and able to ventilate w/o much trouble ...

Day 63, harvest is approaching. Sadly for both plants it seems.


^I've vaped 'a few' popcorn buds already. Probably a gram's worth. The temptation is just too much to handle.

I'm insanely excited about this harvest even though Northern Lights could use an extra week or so. I'm pretty sure I'll finally reach my goal of one ounce. I'll be checking the trichomes on AKR but unless I decide otherwise, I'll chop on day 70.

Well can see you being over the moon soon then pal, but tell me about it was only 7 months ago when I arrived here unable to grow enough bud from an auto to last more than a month and now for the first time ever will have a small jar of bud left from my last grow and be chopping more, all that is thanks to AFN and the stacks and stacks of priceless info here the more we learn the bigger the rewards get as I think you are just about to learn
