Yesterday I introduced 'ponytailing' to the plants in order to help the branches keep up. Stalled branches have always been a huge problem for me and I'm hoping this will help ensure proper branching for once. So far so good. I think.
Today I also learned the noble art of leaf-tucking. I tried it yesterday and there wasn't a lot to tuck under yet so that's a good sign. It's funny how much bushier the plants look after tucking a few leaves.
Northern Lights has been a bit sad looking the past few days. I think it's because she isn't a particularly heavy drinker unlike the Afghan Kush Ryder and I've overwatered her. That hasn't really slowed her down at all, though. AKR is a bit further along but I think it's just because she started flowering earlier and is now entering the explosive growth stage. I'll have to up the nitrogen.
I hope they don't grow too big, though - it's already getting a bit crowded...
dude, those things are rockin it! Very nice job man. Interesting choice of training. Never seen ponytailing before. That gives me ideas for if I got a candy kush again. It gets super dense and bushy early on. I really wanna grow some world of seeds strains again. The AKR I did once grew with extreme vigor. Very solid genetics. Ohhhh the smells that came off that think. Mine smelt like warm cup of hash spiced coffee. I LOVED it man. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your progress. Cheers brother!
