"Great! im going to be collecting pollen myself soon and aint got a clue what to do!"

Two Very Simple solutions.

If you can leave the male up until he Starts to flower..
the Simplest way to collect pollen is to let him start flowering..chop him down..stick him in the middle of a Newspaper..and put it somewhere dry and warm.

Works a Treat.

If you have to Remove the male from the grow room.
Wait until he is about ready to flower..cut him down..clear the bottom stem of branches or leaves then stick him in a vase with water..and treat like a cut flower.
Stand a sheet of Parchment paper under the vase..and as he opens the pollen will drop onto the paper...

Heres the plant Im going to be hopefully getting some pollen from :) the male flowers are a nice purple colour, definitely wouls have been some nice bud if it was a female, it is Bubbas Urkle Cookies by Cannaventure :)

Ive just brushed either a Mephisto Blue Cush or Alien x Triangle (got mixed up!) with the Cookies pollen, what seeds would I get from doing this please? Am I correct in thinking the seeds from these would be photo's? and if I was to continue to the next gen they would be auto's if pollinated with another auto?

My understanding is it is unlikely to auto in the first generation. Mitch of Mephisto told me that a male that flowers very early in the F2 generation is likely an auto, use that to pollinate other F2 plants with. I'm not sure the odds in the F3 generation, likely 50%?? breed the F3 autos and you should have a generation of full autos. I'm no expert on this, a very new beginner at this so anyone who has a better answer, please speak up!

Thank you pop, great info. I was a bit gutted the cookies wasnt a female but wanted to keep the genetics so thought why not lets have a go at a bit of hacking! quite intrigued by it all now :)

@Werner Heisenburg, how did the mainlining turn out?
Ok. Couple of updates.

1-dose not work... Where I main lined for new cola sites to develope, I only got a bud site to grow instead of a nice long node. So basically, I had a Y shaped, low growing tree. I saw no point in keeping it at that point as it was just stunned and stressed to develope any decent bud. If I had a lot of room, I would of grown her out... So she got chopped

2-maybe a more sativa dominate strain might be in order. If anyone knows of a stretchy, long sativa, let me know as that might have better results....

I do have a Sour Bubbly that is well over a meter in height, wonder if that would be a good fit?..

yeah i figured it might be too much for an auto. Yoda's Dragon's Breath is a stretchy girl, sativa leaning. that's wht i grew in my one pound auto grow ( only got 4.5 ounces lol )

I still have a white triangle that I mainlined hat is still chugging along. Slow... But still going. I'll post some pictures as soon as I get a chance. I need another led panel ASAP to get better coverage on my area. Then, we might get a better result but I doubt it. It's simply too stressful to chop the hell out of an auto to actually develope good colas. The triangle is all covered on white sugar buds but will not be worth a yield worth mentioning. But I'll smoke that, non the less!!!.
