And this is what this section is here for, to try to prove or disprove, what does or doesn't work with autos! Still possible other strains might tolerate it. When I have space in my cab, I'm going to try it with a random auto from my stash.

Right now I've got a Dragon's Blood that is a spare...lol... that I'm topping multiple times. She's had her first topping a couple days ago. We'll she what she can take!

I still have a white triangle that I mainlined hat is still chugging along. Slow... But still going. I'll post some pictures as soon as I get a chance. I need another led panel ASAP to get better coverage on my area. Then, we might get a better result but I doubt it. It's simply too stressful to chop the hell out of an auto to actually develope good colas. The triangle is all covered on white sugar buds but will not be worth a yield worth mentioning. But I'll smoke that, non the less!!!.

Ok. Couple of updates.

1-dose not work... Where I main lined for new cola sites to develope, I only got a bud site to grow instead of a nice long node. So basically, I had a Y shaped, low growing tree. I saw no point in keeping it at that point as it was just stunned and stressed to develope any decent bud. If I had a lot of room, I would of grown her out... So she got chopped

2-maybe a more sativa dominate strain might be in order. If anyone knows of a stretchy, long sativa, let me know as that might have better results....

I do have a Sour Bubbly that is well over a meter in height, wonder if that would be a good fit?..

Ah ha, I had a feeling auto's would not cop mainlining. I was temped to try it on a Super Cali Haze I have going, thats a super auto.. 120+ days job, but I'm still scared to do it, I'm even to scared to try and top it once or twice, the veg stages on autos are so fkn short lol, I grow outdoors so can't give the big light hours for veg and don't see how they can have the time to develop decent colas in such a short veg period.

So here are the pictures. They sprouted on 7/24 so she is a bit old. This shows how it never developed real colas at all. Just heavily frosted leaves and small buds. I will let this girl go a bit more but will pull the plug when real estate gets crowded again. For comparison, these are in a 3 gallon pot...

Pictures for @Corgy... As requested.

Myth busted!!.

I LOVE THIS THREAD!

Shame the mainlining didn't work out. I've seen a few PP mainlined grows and it is pretty awesome. I think maybe autos generally lack the recovery/veg period to overcome the stress of it?

I have something to share, a technique I've used before and it worked a treat. Granted this was with a PP plant but the science behind could be applied to an auto grow for sure. I will get the information pulled together and see if I can find any pics to back it up (not just to appease Corgy )

Great idea for a thread! It's the things like this that make me glad I signed up!
