New Grower Auto Newbie

I know it’s been awhile since last post been busy. The ladies are almost 9 weeks old now. I don’t believe they will go 120 days like I had read thankfully. They did get very light in color & one pheno started turning purple but I am sure it is due to pH fluctuations since I am not running the coco like hydro. I always water with 6-6.2 pH water a week ago started adding Mills C4 to the A + B & CalMag. Always looking for words of wisdom.

*side note looking to enter into the LEDs. I am not trying to spend a bunch for an entry light I would like to get my feet wet first and go from there. Preferably 4 x 4 or 5 x 5 area. Thanks in advance.
Dont rush it they have a ways to go. Now they will swell up and it will seem like the trichs will not change but they do eventually. Mine stayed clear forever.

Nice colas! Have you tried mephisto yet?
Thx! I’m glad to see the progress so far!

I really want to! I actually placed order on mephisto site it didn’t ask for a CC. So I email 3x 1 to customer service email & 2 replies to the order confirmation I was wanting to get those started ASAP but I have heard not a peep. If I need to send cash I’d like to know but I did not see it say only cash or bit coin payments. At this stage I have no idea if my order is held or not as I have not heard anything. Ordered on the 17th white crack, double grape & Another I cant recall I think fugah or something. But I have not gotten a response.

Thanks for the reminder i need that cheerleading to keep that patience. Patience is a virtue! But damn it’s hard! I think they have about +/-3 weeks to go but We shall see. The yellowing is a little worrying hoping it doesn’t present an issue closer to harvest.

Also on the light choice I would go with @BigSm0 cobs. There's something special about them, my plants drink more and grow twice as big. I would start with 6500k though and just add some of the lower spectrum for flower. I notice double the frost using them. Also tends to make sativas tighten up nugs.

This is my cob side.

Nice ladies!!

The cobs have a wider color spectrum is that correct? Do you have an understanding of the 460, 660 & 850nm that I have seen folks speak on? It seems to be an important factor in the production of terpenes & cannabinoids. But I may have misinterpreted what I read.

I have read about it but never saw any use in it. Mine frost just fine under a 6500k

@STILLSMOKIN

Those are some drool worthy ladies nice and frosty.

I have seen some very frosty ladies on here under LEDs no question. I just wondered how much those details I mentioned came into play on choosing. I’ve seen the 3500, 4000, 4500k but started reading and folks talking about umols per second. I have only used HIDs. I like getting first hand info from those who selected a light and if they have any “damn” moments. Like damn I should have got that one it “MAY” or “would” have done this better. Like coverage area.

When I had went to start this grow I had almost talked myself into jumping into a few cheap MarsHydro LEDs. Then started seeing info on Cobs got antsy to get started and feeling like I did not have enough info I went forward with what I had. Now I got the itch to switch or at least try something new. :woohoo:

I think another thing that sets autos apart is they can take in so much more light hours, so you dont have to have the power so high. Ive got a strip light side but watts to area is much higher than cob side. Cobs are a ton brighter also.

Strip light side.

Here are the sheila’s On day 71 or 10 weeks 1 day & pics of their trikes I don’t see any real signs of amber. Sorry for the low quality pics best I can do with what I got. But I didn’t really expect to yet.

I started a couple more beans this time in organic soil. I couldn’t find anything around here that was a recommended or name brand but have used it with success on garden & house plants so with any luck these will be beautiful as well. I threw some buffered coco on the top just to keep it from starting to hot. Used root riot cubes to pop the beans which they just came out of the top yesterday. Counting yesterday as their day 1.

Also got some photoperiods out in the sun ☀️In the woods. Hopefully the weather isn’t to harsh on them.

Let me know if you notice anything in the pics I didn’t. Thanks in advance!
Cheers!
