Dutch Passion Auto Glueberry OG: 1000W HID RDWC Hydroponics

You're 450? I'm a huge fan of LEDs, but have been unsure which one to get due to the huge variability in output even though the lights are rated the same. Any suggestions on a good LED to buy?

Thanks!
Amare SE450 check my link, awesome lights!
Lovely plants sir! Happy growing :vibe:

Hey AFN,

Once again, sorry for my hiatus. I just started a new job, so growing has sadly taken the back burner. The Auto Glueberry OG is now complete and was chopped on day 75. I'm sure if I would have let her go another week or two she could have been a lot more plump. But, I am super anxious to drop my Mephisto Genetics Stilton Special into my hydro setup. Currently the Stilton Special is in a rockwool cube waiting to poke it's head put.

All in all, I was extremely satisfied with the Auto Glueberry OG, and was easily the largest indoor plant I've grown to date. Honestly, even though I gave the plant the entire room to grow in, and a 1000W fixture (MH and HPS), she out grew my space really limiting the production on the lower buds. Even green taping the falling branches to the main stalk just acted as a short term solution so the branches wouldn't snap (not to mention tedious!). Next time I grow a strain known to get so large, I will cage the plant indoors (hmmm... Auto Ultimate maybe :jawdrop:). I'm so used to training in smart pots that when growing in a bucket the training options seem so limited. If anyone has a better training technique for growing massive indoor plants in hydro, I would REALLY appreciate an explanation on how you keep the growth under control while also maximizing the number of tops being produced (in automatic strains of course). I've seen crazy dual PVC screen setups which seem to work very well, which may end up being the best option. But, I'll let it up to the experts on here as to the correct way to train indoor monsters (@912GreenSkell , @HemiSync , @IzzyTheGrower , @Slowmo , @Slater , @sanguine , @pop22 , @Fairlynew , @Ripper , @hippy71 , @A-Train , @witchyhour , @Hansbricks , @Sensi Jay).

Statistics:

Weight of dried top quality bud being kept for my personal stash: 190.9g (6.74 oz)

Weight of dried trim and under buds not worth trimming: 234.53g (8.27 oz)

Total: 190.9g (top shelf bud) + 234.53g (popcorn) = 425.43g (15.01 oz)

All of the extremely frosty trim (which is all of the trim I have) will be turned into BHO. (I'm just too lazy to trim popcorn bud and larf :pop: )

I'll provide a smoke report once the buds have had an adequate time to cure. Sampled a small bud last night (rolled into a joint), and the smell, taste, and potency are out of this world. This really shouldn't come as a surprise to me since I've never had a bad experience growing anything from Dutch Passion ( @DutchPassionTony ). :DP::worship:

Outdoor Plants (128 days old):

And finally... my precious outdoor angel. Started with 3 cotyledons, then began shooting out 3 branches from each node, and is now putting out at least 4+ branches at each node. The mutation this plant has (Go Time: Jinxproof Genetics/TGA Genetics) is insane. She has so many tops I can barely keep up with this plant's training! Easily the largest plant I have ever grown and stretch has yet to begin. I wonder what my next training technique will be given that the plants are now outgrowing their second cages!

Cheers and thanks for following along! Next adventure, Mephisto's Stilton Special (@mephisto ) in hydro.

Also, just ordered the entire Illuminatos [HASHTAG]#3[/HASHTAG] collection from Mephisto. I cannot wait to see the gems which come out of these crosses.

Hey bud...i'll leave indoor training to other guys, but i am so glad you tagged me in...those outdoor monsters wow...awesome work bud!! You might give me a run for my money with those plants!!
Rep incoming!

@912GreenSkell I doubt you remember this, but you were the person who inspired me to grow monster trees outside (I even messaged you about how it was possible to even grow plants like that, haha). When I looked through your DP Blueberry grow on here I just couldn't contain my excitement. Growing outdoors just gives me such happiness. Watching little plants turn into monsters under natural sunlight is such a rewarding feeling. While I love growing indoors in hydro systems, nothing will ever feel as rewarding as when I trim up my outdoor plants in October. Good luck this season and if my plants are even half the size of yours, I'll be jumping for joy.

Thanks for checking my journal out!

OH yeah...i absolutely agree with your philosophy...growing under lights is a great experience...but growing monsters outdoors is just amazing. Astonishing growth rates and the flower can be every bit as good as indoor if done right.

Got some training advice for you...use reverse supports on the most outer branches, and pull them as close to horizontal as possible(depending on branch flexibility) and feed them through the walls of the fence. Spread them out and try to allow for as much light penetration as possible.

Sorry, reverse supports? Do you mean once the branches are pulled through the cage I should tie them from the outside back onto the outer cage? Hopefully that question makes sense... Sadly, I just currently don't have room for a 3rd cage on each. Also, your plant looks amazing, she's so happy and healthy! You my friend, are a master at training outdoor plants. The top of your plant is flat as a table! @912GreenSkell
