New Grower Any Feedback/Suggestions

Lol I'm sorry I meant a wetting agent, just helps evenly distrubute and help soil soak up the water... lol basically dish soap.... EC is electrical conductivity meter, short explanation is its a way to measure your feeds and their strength and to see what the plant is using up or not... I think investing in a ec/tds/ppm meter is well worth it if your going to be growing with coco.... Also i forgot to mention earlier when I water I always water till about 10to20% run off.... Once roots are established in coco it's almost impossible to over water them... I love tinkering with my ladies and dont mind the hand watering sometimes upwards of three times a day! Also have grown some really huge monsters in smaller containers of coco... If you can go small container and really cut down on the strength of the nutes and feed multiple times a day, the plants will surely beast!

Sorry for all of the questions, but are mosquito dunks necessary for plants grown in grow boxes?

Not necessary but really cuts down on the likely hood of getting gnats which is fairly common with coco.... I've still gotten them here and there but no where like before I started using the dunks.... I also seen in a few pots drip trays that look like springtails which is also another common thing I've read with coco.... All and all you will find what works best for you... What ever your doing like I've said seems to be working well as your ladies are looking good... What type of light are they under again? Remember this grow as you will come back to this thread a year from now and be amazed how much experience and grow skills you will gain! I personally haven't grown anything in coco in anything bigger than a 3gal plant warrior pot (which btw I love these pots! Cheap and they do a decent job at air pruining... Would love to do a side by side with an airpot one of these days.... Remember with coco you don't need large containers at all! I'll be following along! Good job tackling coco on your first grow!

Thank you for your answer. I am using 3 6500k cfls Bulbs. I'm not sure what size pot it looks like the standard size might be 1gal. Not very big. I have been looking at airpots too. I would love to see how a grow would turn out in one. I'm planning on keeping this grow simple and making adjustments as needed. Thanks.

This is day 26 i believe. The leaves are getting big and starting are starting to touch the front and back of my grow box. I'm not sure how tall it's going to grow yet or if i can continue to keep it in here. I have a little pc fan inside blowing on it a bit. I haven't changed my regimen much, i just wish i had more time to do multiple waterings. I'm still giving about the same amount of nutes. I was thinking of putting more lights going along the side of the box but i don't want to burn it. Are there any training tetechniques that I can use to make sure it doesn't grow into the lights?

Hi Renee, the small size of you pot will help to some extent, but even when they flower you will still get a substantial stretch. One thing you can do is get some garden ties and pull the top down to one side. Maybe place one end of the tie under the edge of your pot to hold it and pull your growth to the side by making a hook on the other end of the tie. Just be careful, as it will only bend so far without breaking. As the top grows out more, you will be able to pull it further down. This will also increase your yield by allowing the secondary bud sites to become more primary ... Peace!

Thanks Need4weed, i was considering that but i didn't want to hurt the stem. I will try it tonight.

I remember a plant I had years ago that was growing in a small ditch, or where a ditch had begun. A storm blew it down and all the bud sites had changed direction growing towards the sun. I just left it there and kept putting branches on the end of the new growth. Worked like a charm ... Peace!

Very cool how resilient tney are

Hi Renee,
Tie it down. Every time you'll get a new top. When that one gets too tall tie it down. The tallest point on the plant will be the new top it'll get most of the plants energy. If you keep tying down and letting up you can wind up with as many tops as you want.
BTW your plant looks awesome not first timer looking at all

Cool, I'll definitely try it. I just got some plant ribbon so i will tie it today. That sounds really neat.
