Live Stoner Chat Another Fun Hobby

Did not manage.to get any blue catfish or big kitties. Went on a 15 mile float trip on the kayaks but did manage my first sturgeon. Caught about 10 myself actually.

You all have given me inspiration. One thing about the virus? It made us all slow up and look around. I realized I lived not 10 minutes from one of the best fisheries in northern California, and hadn't had a fishing license or pole in almost 20 years.

One medium powered fast action crappie rod later and it's all in...
New rod and reel showed up today.
Okuma Record Chaser MH 9 foot
And an Okuma 4000 series Avenger baitrunner.

I can cross the Sacramento river in several directions within 10 to 20 minutes. Have played in the sloughs all summer catching the little ones, time to move to deep water.

Good choice I have an okuma baitrunner I love her! I hope you do well.

This is my first baitrunner, as soon as I saw one, that option became mandatory. The small reel on the crappie rod is just what was on it at purchase, an will be replaced after a while. It's not built to last. The rod I like quite a bit, nice carbon blank, thinking a 1000 series of the avenger would be just about right.
Tight lines!

I bought a kastking baitfeeder and okuma same time. Okuma is definitely better. Seem well built for price. I've only had about 8 months myself. Still trying to get the big one on her

So far this year I've been a pet catcher. What a great lookin' little bass... lucky I don't have an aquarium at home. Lots of panfish and small cats, but shallow warm water. Have obviously been fishing in the nursery.
