Whew. I actually just got done bass fishing about hour ago caught six.. no catfishing. Already about 90 and 85 percent humidity. Haven't been other than this cuz heat in few weeks... Other than that how you been doing @Jackson fall bite should be a good one this year? You get above normal rains too?

@Boognelson87 @Olderfart . You guys been fishing? It’s too hot in Dallas to go. Waiting for weather to cool down.
Hey Jackson,

I tried a bit of trout fishing during a road trip a couple weeks ago, and caught bugger all. The road trip trout thing is a relatively recent dive into fly fishing lakes after decades of not bothering. So far, the results have been unimpressive.

However, I am on our sailboat now doing some projects as part of putting her on the market, and the projects have gone well, so I may get a bit of coho salmon fishing in later this week. I need to put the boat to bed for the winter before heading home, so fishing will depend on a weather window that allows me to finish tucking her in during dry weather.

I'll try to remember to take a pic or two if I get out.

Well, I got out once the boat projects were under control.

This is about three hours into day 2:

This is one of the three halibut we caught on day 1, along with five more coho (silvers, I believe, to you US citizens):

The halibut were small, but very tasty. Total catch for the two of us was 13 coho and 3 halibut.

Happy fishing peeps. :pighug:

@Boognelson87 . Finally got some cooler weather so this morning I had the “blues”. Biggest was 12.9

Good Morning All!

I have not fished all year as I blew out my rotator cuff and will be having surgery this Wednesday. Anyone tearing them up? @Olderfart @Boognelson87 @MR magoo
I wish. I am in the last process of selling our sailboat, so likely no more salmon chasing for me, at least not on the ocean. Selling is a rational decision, but boy does it hurt. Being on the ocean has been a huge part of my life for ~60 years. Taking care of the boat is a lot of physical work that keeps getting more difficult. Getting old ain't for sissies.

Good luck with the shoulder mate. I hope you are back chasing those fish soon. :pighug:

I understand @Olderfart too much work for me. I’m thankful I know a guide whom I am great friends with who doesn’t charge me but I always give something for his time usually 75 to 100 bucks and I don’t mind one bit

Been wanting to go after some blue catfish but torn rotator cuff surgery is kicking my ass
