@MR magoo @Olderfart 15 so but damn it's hot
Nice fish Jackson! You’re on the road to some fine eating tonight I guess. What do you use for bait for blues? Than same as channels? I remember watching Bill Dance using hot dog chunks on the Mississippi back in the day.

Nice, really nice. Some fine eating on the agenda!

I may get out after a salmon sometime in the next week or two, but that requires a weather window to some work on the boat. Still waiting for that.

when I was a kid I fished for giant orange carp as big as twenty pounds, in the Charles river Boston. they looked like giant goldfish.
the best way to catch them was a sinker, hook. and for bait a soaking wet ball of wonder bread, the only bread that stayed on the hook. :cheers:

Surprisingly enough corn kernels work pretty well in these parts for catching carp. I don’t fish for carp though;)

Cut in small pieces, soak in milk and egg, dip in cornmeal and some cajon spices. Deep fry at 350 degrees and wash it down with cold beer and watch a movie

I set some turtle hooks today!

Never had turtle @7.62 . we caught a few snapping turtles Saturday just threw them back
