Pic UpDate Day 57 & Day 22
Well, the stunted JEM's @ Day 57 aren't doing much and don't seem to be responding to anything I do. I am going to keep them going most likely until at least Day 70, Might as well try to get some strong smoke from what is there.
The KVS however, did respond well to a heavier feeding and an addition of K.
And @ Day 22 she is looking much better to me. I am expecting pistils to start showing in the next few days.
Porn Below-Look close at the KVS and you can see 2 lady bugs standing guard, they wont let any nasties around my girls!
PS: Mossy Your box is full, so I couldn't reply to your last PM, But I will be watching!
PPS: I have ordered some AN phPerfect Sensi-Grow, Sensi-Bloom, B52, & OverDrive. So I will have that on hand for the next batch of seedlings.
After a very frank conversation with an EJ distributor, I decided I am going to finish out this grow with the EJ nutes with the additional K I have.
That conversation brought a few things to light. One being the ph adjustment issue. He did NOT recommend ignoring ph. His viewpoint was that if after adding the nutes to your H2O the ph was low, you should bring it up to at least 5.5. He said he had seen many soil & soil-less grows form people not ph'ing that looked fine & smoked fine, but he had seen plenty that suffered. So why risk it, it isn't like ph'ing is a big deal. I agree. He agreed with Hugo that baking soda was not the best idea for bring up my ph and advised me to get a good ph up product, especially if I was committed to using organics as they tend to drive the ph down.
Another thing he mentioned is that with organics, fresh mixed is considered "mixed AND aerated for 24 hours". He said that really without that 24 hour aeration, you will not get proper chelation of the compounds and thus less nutrients to the plant.
And then lastly, he stressed making sure your product has not expired. Many retailers, especially online sellers, will sell expired product. He advised against using expired nutes on your valuable crop.
