The KVS has a great shape. Looks good.
The WJ has pretty bud for looking like it went through the washing machine!

Hope you had a great weekend!

KVS Pic UpDate Day 34

OK Folks, the shorty JEMs got the axe, trichs were pretty much all milky with some clear and a few ambers. There was no more pistil production for at least a couple of days, so I figured they were done.
No more pics of them, and even though extremely stunted I am hoping the smoke is potent.

Now the KVS is one hungry bitch!
And has started a scary fast growth spurt as soon as she started her preflower. She grew a friggin 1.5 inches in the last 18 hours. Right now, she stands at 14 inches from the soil. Anbd has many bud points.
I am resisting the urge to lst her as I really like the look of the KVS that AB grew.
But if she gets too tall, I will have to bend her over. Oh how I love bending tall beauties over!

So her are a couple of porn shots of her.

Pic Update Day 46
The KVS is plugging along.
I did get a touch of nute burn as you can see on a few leaves
Not a ton of vertical growth, From soil to top of the main cola is 16" and growth is about 1/4" per day.
I think the heat may be a factor in why it isn't much taller. It has been a fight to keep the growbox below 90, but I have been able to keep it down to about 86-88 most of the time.
It is forming buds nicely & they are thickening up, so I am not too worried.
I am guessing I have about another 30-45 days before she is ready to harvest
So within the next ten days I have to decide on what to start germinating and due to some real generosity on the part of a couple of AFN members I have LOTS of choices!
All that aside, here is the porn.

Looking real nice. That's not a bad size for an indica dom strain. Very branchy so it should yield well.

I agree, those temps are a bit high and could be a contributing factor.

Thanks to those who peeked in.
I am really looking forward to being able to get my grow box out of the outbuilding and in to a more controlled environment.
Our winter cold isn't too much to fight, but the heat is tough. Fortunately not bad enough to shut down grows for the summer like some of our members have to do.
Since I have been helping my friend get her growbox going it is like having two separate grows going.
In light of that, I have decided to just have one strain going for each place. I think it will make handling issues a little easier.

Hey gtron I also battle the heat living in the sunshine state. My ladies don't seem to mind 80-86 temps as long as I water enough. Your KVS doesn't seem to mind the heat at all good grow bro :booya:

Ph problems

Pic Update Day 54

So the rep for EJ lied, didn't know what the hell she was talking about or doesn't understand the sensitivity of autos.
She was adamant that if I were growing in a soil-less medium that I would not need to ph up the feed. So I decided to see what would happen without doing any ph-ing and tweak things if I saw any trouble.

Of course the KVS decided to wait to tell me that she did not appreciate the EJ reps opinion until I was so busy I couldn't fuss over her much. The 89-91 degree temps have not helped matters either. But I don't think that is a significant issue.

Anyway about 4 days ago I pulled her out from under the LED and saw that the ph problem was worse than I thought it was 7 days ago
Checked with my Accurate 8 and the soil-less ph was just under 4!
So I mixed my feed, adjusted the ph up to 6.4, double checked it with my Hanna and added two teaspoons of powdered garden lime to slowly bring the ph of the soil-less medium back up.
Measuring with the Accurate 8 again today soil-less medium is right at 6.
I am thinking about just abandoning the EJ nutes and switch over to the ph perfect Sensi nutes, but I am concerned about the best way to go about it.
Should I just switch? Give her a light flush and then switch?
I have the S-Grow, S-Bloom, B-52, Overdrive, and then samples of Big Bud, Bud Candy, Nirvana, and Final Phase.
Of course I may just go get some PH up and finish out with the EJ, but I like to think out my options.
My very busy life is about to kick into a higher gear any day now, so I am trying to make a decision on this that I can just deal with.
Ohyeah, my decision for the next grow is 5 Onyx seeds in my friends grow box and 5 MI5 in mine. If we both get 2 females each in each box we will be happy. I plan on starting separate threads for those grows.
Twisted porn below, comments appreciated!

Considering how low the pH was they don't look too bad. The more I hear about EJ nutes the less I like. Not tried them myself and doubt I ever will. I don't see any issues with switching mid stream. I would suggest checking the soil pH in another day or two just to make sure it's stabilized and not still rising. After that the AN nutes should keep it in the proper range.

Uou! Under 4 is really hard to survive! That one must be a resilient pheno!

Sending some healing karma!
