Indoor Alien v/s Triangle(special pheno) & Grape Walker Kush

Here's another weekly update:

Environment:
79°
55% RH

We cleaned and calibrated our ph pen, and have some storage solution for it as well.
The scrubber is turned up now to try and keep the temperature below 80°, as well as rid the area of any scent that may be coming off the girls we have in flower. The mature ones in back are pretty much ready to get the chop, and we anticipate that will happen by Sunday.

GWK:
Has been moving right along now. Growing around an inch everyday and has a nice root system going on. The low pH isn't really much of an issue anymore. Although the target is 5.8, it has been close and not really out of an unhealthy range.

Current numbers are:

256ppm
71°
5.6ph
11 1/2"

AvT:
Is also moving right along as well, and is still stretching daily. She will be flipped to flower as soon as her stretch has slowed down. We'd also like her ph knocked down a little bit to the 5.8 range and have added a tiny bit of PH[emoji652]to try and achieve that value. The Nitrogen toxicity we had has also since subsided.
She has a very nice distinct smell to her when you rub her stems.

Her current numbers are:

235ppm
71°
6.0ph
19 3/4"

Things are going pretty well now and everything seems more stable. I feel we have the ppm right about where it needs to be. The last couple grows we experienced Nitrogen toxicity, so we wanted to have a more mindful approach towards it this time. It seems to be working for sure.

That's all I got. Make sure you (if you celebrate st Patrick's day that is) enjoy some corn beef and cabbage, and have some Jameson, and Guinness this weekend. I know I will.

Also, not sure about your chart, but I am assuming it's pH at the end. pH is a funny thing. The scale is a base -10 logarithmic scale like the Richter scale, and it amps up really fast. pH is the amount of Hydrogen present, and going from pH 5.0 to 6.0 is 10x different. Go from 5.0 to 7.0 and it's 100x different. LOTS of room in there. Your pH looks low...on the chart specifically. Also, I recommend spending the extra 30 seconds and checking your meter EVERY single time. Get some pH tester and keep it in a bottle, make sure that meter is dead on every time. I had some issues with trusting a faulty meter on my last run of AVT and it hurt my final yield a tad....and I only had issues for a week or so. As far as LST, check out A-Train's guide right here on the forum and check out the first pic. That's from Boo'sbuds and it's also a good method of LST. Both work. The ring around the rosey method is a little easier your first time. Get hobby grade extra long pipe cleaners. They make it super easy. Bend these bitches....they LOVE it.

There called KAAHBS Joe
Is there a plasce to find how to do this technique?

pH check? My advice...get two of the yellow pH meters. They are in the $10 range on Amazon and branded with a few different stamps. Also get some low range and high range pH test solution. I store mine in a glass jar with duct tape around it to keep it dark. Light can cause issues like algea and breaking down. I store it with my nooots and pop the top and check the readout every time. Having a second meter is just redundant so you can be positive about it. I'm sure more high end meters like Hanna Instruments are much better, but these work great as long as you follow the rules:

Keep the probe moist between uses
Do NOT leave it on
Make sure batteries are good
Check it EVERY time with known pH
Rinse it before putting it away
Don't smash, kick, burn, freeze, submerge, eat, place internally, smoke, or dismantle it and you should be fine. They can swing and keep the micro throw away screwdriver handy for adjusting the trim pot.

100%, what Joe said. Even with the decent Hanna php2 pens I used to have, they almost never agreed. Those were spendy meters, in 2009 when I bought them. Just the same as the two Amazon cheapos I have now, I measure with both, shrug, and split the difference. If something seems way out of whack, I pull out the GH drops test, though for me, the kit is tough to tell 5.5 from 6. Maybe I'm getting old man eyes. Lol.
Regards, Kyle

Happy St Patricks Day 2018 to one and all.

It was my birthday....lol. St Patty's Day bday. We made a corned beef stew, and some roasted cabbage with Irish soda bread and some buttermilk chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. Wound up hanging out till 3:30am playing some euchre and packing pipes of GWK and Sour Stomper. Good times.

Close, but no cigar...
Irish Stew = Lamb and not Beef :p

Still looks bloody tasty though :pighug:

Back it at with another update. Spring has officially sprung, and I'm excited for the weather change, new life, and new growth.. it is one of my favorite seasons aside from fall.

Looks great and is really putting on the frost. She's destined for greatness. No issues to speak of really. I wish she was atleast 6 inches taller, but it's all good. She's happy and healthy and that's really all that matters. We're flipping her to flower on Sunday..

Looking great as well. Her smell kinda reminds me of an O.G. We've never seen a shape quite like hers before either, and it's quite unique. Also going to flip her to flower this weekend.. she's slowed down and I think she's more than ready to start blooming..

Overall, both look happy, healthy, and have great root structures. We are switching them both at the same time so they can get the maximum amount of light in the same growth phase. The other two in the back came out and are getting trimmed this weekend. Here's a couple bonus pics:
