The best thing about an air pot is the way it comes apart for super easy trans planting.

I am planning on using some geotex this summer to make some planters out in the bush. I am going to see if i can do a season where i don't have to dig a hole.

I would be good for the bottom of an airpot too :D I really do have to get some of these.

A breathable wicking fabric is what aim looking for. I was actually thinking about nylon screen or mesh. Will go to wal mart and check out what they got.

I'm plannin on tryin a new technique with 22 qt grow bags... 4 autos to a bag in each corner... bag laying on its "side"... kinda dig a lil pocket in the ground... set the bag and plant... cover with soil and leaves... disguised and ph balanced as well as better water retention (for extremely dry summers / areas (as a result of a problem I had last summer with being in such a dry spot that when watering the surrounding soil wicked most of the water out before the plant could grab it... watering every day to compensate... and that was barely enough)

I als want to get and try some airpots... I've had pot-wood since I saw and read about them... lol

Depends on the size of the pot. Of course you can sow as many as you want, then cull the ones that you don't want. I used to do this - plant several seeds in same pot, after about a week or two I pulled out the weaker seedlings. If the pot you chose is big enough, you can keep several plants all in the same pot.

Cool man,I can pick up some 15 or 20 litre air pots for about £3 or £4 aty local hydro shop,I know i can get cheaper normal pots, but i don't mind paying a little more for these if the results are better,I think I'll get one and compare my results against the normal pots I use, cheers dude

Really? Was wondering about that myself. Did several googles and general consensus seemed to advise against it (due to plants competing for light/nutrients/etc).

However, most of these posts weren't autoflower specific. In my experience so far, as limited as that may be, the roots of AF's rarely even penetrate the entire pot.

That being the case, and because of their small stature, maybe growing several AF's in one pot (ESP a AirPot) is permissible?

Thoughts/Feedback? (Maybe this should be a new thread, as it's something a lot of people might be VERY interested in.)

View attachment 13320 16 inch Blue Himilaya in a 3L air pot. I like them they seem to work fine for my setup :)

Nice! Hey, did you have a problem with drainage? (I am. I use a very light, fluffy soil....and it all seems to want to drain out the holes).

Very impressive.

What soil mix did you go with?

I use Humbolt County soil and its pretty fluffy so I pack it more than regular when using Air pots as they will be getting lots of air anyway. I have to water slowly or yes they can leak a little occasionally but by watering slowly that doesnt happen. I have a 20 inch speedy Gonzales growing in another so the size of the pot doesnt really seem to inhibit growth up anyway. I am going to try different size pots and look at the differences in them. Air pots typically cost less than the seeds we are putting in them so it seems like a good investment to play with. :)

Hey Scott,I'm also using a 3l air pot and I'm wondering how much and how often do u water your plants? The first time I watered I was like what the fuck, all my waters leaking out lol but I learned to do it nice and slow,I am impressed with them, I can see nice fat roots on mine poking thro the bottom and there covered with really fine root hairs to
