Hey now,
Man these plants are thirsty thirsty. Did an 8 gallon fill last night let’s see how long that lasts. Starting to flower and time to switch soon too..

Down to three pots. One was a boy, might be down to two as I think there’s one more boy in there.

I’m using autopots for the first time also and I’m amazed at how much my plants are drinking. I’m using soil, and I’ve definitely confirmed my suspicion that I suck pretty bad at hand watering.

Soil here too, can't get over the dry top of the pot, I have to make a conscious effort to not top water. They are doing great so that helps, but still. Plus I switched nutrient lines because what I usually use falls out of solution in just a few minutes so it would never work in the autopots. So it's DutchPro for the autopots.

Man them are purdy ✌️

Mulch the top with whatever, clay pebbles, woodchips etc. The soil will stay moist that way and it will slow evaporation.

That bugged me at first too, but my soil seems moist all the way to the top consistently now. I’m not sure if it’s because the plants are larger, or if it’s because I hand watered them a couple weeks ago with a small dose of strong recharge from the top and now the soil is just wicking all the way up? I don’t know. It’s working though lol

I do not have a journal at the moment. I have my plants entered into the general battle and figured that was enough of a journal for my first go with them. I debated starting one but figure if shit goes south I’d lose interest and it would just be another dead thread. For sure I’ll be keeping one on the second go when I’m more comfortable with everything.
