I'm not using the clay balls at the bottom of the pots. Just airdomes and straight coco filling the pots.
I do the same. I always have done it this way. I believe that the airdomes do boost the growth once they are turned on.

BTW, if you grow photo periods in auto pots, DON'T veg them too long...... or this can happen..... out of control! I had to break the top on one, it was 7' tall in a 6'6" tent..

Im still undecided on what I want to grow for this test. I'm thinking photo periods, to get the biggest yeild possible. How long would you suggest vegging for?

If you use Nebula's manifold technique for 8 main stems you can veg for about 3 weeks without it getting too tall ~ 12" then flip. This will give you a monster of a photo plant between 40" to 60" depending on the strain.

I say SCROG them autopot photo girls, then you can beat them into submission. :naughtystep:
