A couple of questions from a first time grower who recently planted.

How much water should I be giving the plant at this point? Approximately a week in soil from when it popped up. Should I be watering to 10 - 15% runoff at this early stage?
Hi. I'm also a first time grower. I have the same doubts. The advice i got here was that if the soil is stil humid you shoul not water. Check around 5 cms deep, below the tip of the leaves. If it's still humid, don´t water. If it's dry water on circular motion, away from the stem. If you are not giving nutes, don water untill run of. I would say maybe 1/4 liter per plant. But again, first time grower. I'm just repeating what i learned here. If you want check my thread. There's a lot of info there, since i have a lot of doubts and have been getting advice here.

Hey, thank you for the advice! Glad we can pool our knowledge as first time growers. It was feeling pretty dry, even a full finger length's down, so I watered in a circle away from the main stem so that the roots would be forced to grow out. I'll gradually increase the water as it grows. I think I either underwatered it or slightly watered too much, but I'll leave it alone until it's dry again.

Two questions for anyone who would like to answer.

1. What's a good recommendation for a pH meter/pen off Amazon?
2. Can I use RO water in humidifier? I found some $0.39/gal RO water at my local Walmart and I'd like to switch to that to lower costs and cut down on trips to the store for more water for my humidifier.

I'm assuming the answer to #2 is yes since its PPM should be tiny, and nothing to leave residue, but I thought I'd ask.

I'll update some more photos on Monday. She's growing decently well, with a nice green color and new leaves slowly emerging.

1. I would buy Blue Labs Pen I have had great luck with it holding calibration even if you go a few days over the 30 days
2. I use RO water in all my Humidifiers

Wow, well, for $72, it should be pretty good. Anything decently reliable in the lower < $30 range? Even a little terrible is fine because it'll probably be better than drops.

HM has $40 EC and pH meters on Amazon. You don't want a cheap meter otherwise you'll end up with cheap results.

Should I just stick with drops, then? I could vary between 6 and 7 since it'll be a soil/perlite grow, and the plant will pick up all of the nutrients it will need but not too many of any one.

I'm sure you're right. Plus, I gave them Recharge twice now (not much) and I can tell she's growing leaves fine, so I'm not worried.

The ph pen I've had the best luck with is the Apera PH60. It's near $80 now and has served me well. It has a replaceable probe which is great aspect. I own the Bluelabs as well, but it started drifting so much that I dumped it. That was a few years ago.
RO/filtered water is the best water to put in a humidifier. Be on the lookout for white dust that is generated by many humidifiers. Evaporative humidifiers do not generate white dust. Clean the humidifier monthly.

Would the white dust be on the filter or somewhere else? Also, you just made me think of another good question - when does the inline really start to become necessary to contain the smell?
