A couple of questions from a first time grower who recently planted.

You could mix like 1/4 strength recharge in pH water and spray it. Then put the dome on until either you or the plant removes the shell. I've lost seeds because of poor humidity levels initially

I'll give it a little bit more time before I perform surgery, but yes, I just put the dome back on. It looks like it stuck its leaf out a little more since I took the photo. We'll see how far it gets on its own.

Sure thing. Not much to look at, sadly.

The humidity was more like 80% before I opened the flap, and the temperature was a little high for the day overall.

Should I take zome tweezers to the seed and get it off there already? It's still a little short and could break free on its own. It's almost day 4 in the soil.

jus keep the lil seedling with the stuck helmet moist by mistin it 3-4 timez a day & the helmet should come off on itz own in 2-3 dayz uzually...if not, it uzually duzn't require much "assistance" at that point, so...:smoking:  ppp

edit: and yup, domez are the bomb! hehe

I was a little anxious, so I already removed it. It came off surprisingly cleanly, though I did slightly tug the stem up from the soil (very slightly). Let's hope for the best because the other two are dormant.

Thanks for sharing. :hookah: For lighting.

Recommended Hanging Distance Above Plants

Seedling: 24'' Germination: 24''-30'' Veg: 18''-24'' Flower: 12''-18''

Give it sometimes to sprout, pls. :smoking:

Here are few more photos after I took the shell off. Looks like a part of the membrane is still stuck. Will it shed this naturally or will it stop growing?

Both of my lights are at 24'' right now. Helps keep the temperature stable, even if it is the bottom range for seedling/germination.

First time grower here. One of mine had the "helmet" stuck on one of those first leaves. I took it out with a bit of excessive strength, and one leaf was cut in half. My girl did not care. She kept growing. So, my advice is: follow what the more experienced growers have to say here, and buy all the patience you can afford. If you wait they'll grow. Let nature do her thing. Happy growing.

mmm, a tricky situation, lol :rolleyes2: ordinarily, it'z no big thing when some of the membrane remainz, but in this case, it'z got one of the bunnyear leavez folded over & glued to itz counterpart  which in turn meanz that the center core of the true leavez tryin to come out aren't gettin light...sooo, jus keep it misted to keep it moist & they may work themselvez apart...but u don't want em stayin like that for long, and ur most likely gonna hafta intervene in this instance to get em apart, with scissorz, a razor blade, whatever workz  ppp

I'd say just let her be...I recently had a ghost toof germ and had no baby leaves but is now my most fruitful plant.

My crusty little lady is coming along, though still a little worrying. I dropped one or two small drops of water + Recharge on the stuck part directly, then watered her a bit. You guys think she'll break free on her own?

I did brush the drops on her leaves and head a bit off so that it wouldn't burn (no nutrients yet, though).

Unfortunately, my work scheduled would prevent misting her, but I do have a humidifier going 24/7 and a dome on there. I dropped a bit of water on her to speed things up.

Maybe try what 420forever said and do a bit of surgery.
