New Grower 1st hydro grow

Looking good, JT. Once the roots hit the water, it will take off.

So My new net pot came in today with the air channel I lowered the water down to 3 gallons which put about an 8th to a quarter of an inch below the mat put the rock wool on the channel after I cut a slightly larger hole surrounded it with rock and covered it with mirror tape looks pretty good the test rock will I had was getting very very very lightly touched by bubbles not enough to even so get after 2 hours so I wanted her were day 6 I can see 2 to 3 roots poking out the bottom hopefully she will start to take off soon 20200514_195033.jpg20200514_181440.jpg

She's drooping this morning pretty damp so I took about a quarter of a gallon L I'll revisit her and 5:00 p.m. when I get home from work if she still soaking wet or drooping I'll drop the thing down from 2 and a 1/2 gallons to to

day 7 got home we had a hot day tent was 87f cube dried out but little root is being misted by bubbles. When do i stop top feeding ? how long should roots be? she looks healthy otherwise20200515_190930.jpg20200515_190928.jpg20200515_190923.jpg

I would keep the cube moist until roots are in the water.

aell say 8 ans issue with rqhat i believe is algae
my res bucket looks and smells clean but my control bucket the lid popped off from what seemed like air pressure. i looked inside and it had a very slight smell and brown shit around the airtube and stone. i took the bucket dumped it poured vleach and hot water scrubbed and now its drying. i checked my dwc bucket and it looked ok but when i moved the airstone there was brown shit everywhere how am i getting algae im using hydroguard and even though they are all connected the valves are closed. yes temps in bucket are high 70s but theres no light leaks and hydroguard maybe i meed a sterile res instead 20200516_204133.jpg20200516_204111.jpg20200516_203907.jpg20200516_203849.jpg20200516_202554.jpg20200516_202546.jpg20200516_201525.jpg

They should be about $3.50 but Amazon is gouging on them at the moment. You could try direct from Current Culture but shipping may be expensive from there. Yes it is not the type that fits the bucket with a built in lid. A sharp pocket knife will work just be careful not to cut yourself. The reason I say that is I cut myself the last time I cut a bucket lid. :dammit:. I should not handle sharp instruments when HIGH!
Hey JT, yes wet towels helps, as MoG notes. I find from working in a small space, like yours, it’s a balancing act between heat and humidity. As the heat in the tent goes up, the humidity goes down, and vice versa. Where was the humidity before you pumped the heat up to 80+? Backing that down will definitely help also. Plants will love 75 and it will probably add 10% rh.
help me figure out what to do. really dont want to hav tofun an ac all day in my garage but if its 88 in the tent and the water is 79f i dont know what to do

Build a room around your tent. You can use Insulation boards. That way your AC won't have to cool the whole attic. I built a wall to section off my grow tent in my basement for the extra environmental stability.
