I think with a lot of nutes that's true but I think it's nute dependent. For example, I run seedlings at .7 - .9 in DWC routinely with MC and have not experienced problems (at least attributable to too high EC at that stage). IMHO, YMMV, etc.

Edit: Damn. Didn't see the date on this> I should finish my coffee before I read AFN in the morning.
