New Grower 1st hydro grow

a little darker green
shes almost 6in tall now. ec went from 1.1 on sunday to 1.2 today so im close ec wise. roots have new growth stem is thicker. light and intensity are the same and my closest stays constant at 78 to79f. res fluxs from 72 to 74f no smell since added mykos in 1/2tsp increments every 3 days along with hydroguard. i feel like i should bend her to get the whole stem under light try to get the most but o well 20200611_212939.jpg20200611_212933.jpg20200611_212930.jpg

same height she may be done stretching looks healthy still weird leaf formation. only thing i noticed not sure if i shoild be concerned
the leaves are etill dark shiny green(not as muh sonce i dropped ec from 1.3 to 1.0] which is still holding. snd when i pull her roots up she has some brown gunk. now the res smells fine o dont smell anything bad. i do notice when i mix the wp mykos powder in a gallon jug brown gunky sediment will colleft on the bottom so it very well might be that. added some more hydroguard just to be safe
res temp is 72 tent temp is 77 humidty is 48.20200613_203820.jpg20200613_203831.jpg20200613_203817.jpg20200613_203834.jpg

Cool! Aren’t you glad you stuck with it? You will get some bud to smoke and learn so much for next time! Great job!

cleanes bucket yesterday i made the water 0.5ec with calmag then 0.4ec eith bloom. smelling like weed. still darker green even though i lowered bloom. also i domt think this is brown algae somce i just cleaned but mayne someome could let me know. i know the extreme wp mykos creates goopy brown stuff on the bottom of the bucket.20200616_084334.jpg20200616_084350.jpg20200616_084324.jpg20200616_084327.jpg
The plant doesn’t look bad at all for 11 days. I would say it’s in the top 66% growthwise, which isn’t bad considering the roots aren’t hot the water yet. When that happens, it will be like she is on steroids, and will catch up quickly. Keep it up!
@Jtrainor87 what is happening right now is called air pruning. The roots stop growing because they are in air without water. Top watering is a continuous stream of water pumped very near the cube but not on it. I am talking gallons and gallons a day - all day. This forms a water "shower" under the net pot for the roots to follow down into the reservoir. The next way to acomplish nearly the same effect is to raise the water in the reservoir until it is within 1/4 inch of the roots and the bubbles from your aeration will splash water up and drip off the bottom of the net pot making a shower for the roots to follow down into the reservoir. There is a danger of getting the reservoir too full and soaking up into the cube - not desirable. The final method I have seen used is a mister from underneath like in a clone starter.

Don't give up just keep moving forward. Farmers need to be a tough breed.
day 18
ph was set to 5.7 was 6.0 when i got home reset again. ec is still 0.8 my tent hit 92 today water temp rose to 74 but is clean so pondzyme is working. humidity has been about 50% average. she looks much better then two days ago i guess i just keep the ec stable we will check it again Thursday hopefully she starts to take offView attachment 1195299View attachment 1195300View attachment 1195301

Roots look good and honestly I don’t know what the leaf curlin thing is about that is weird. I think @Iriee Vibez is totally right about making the switch to rooter cubes vs rock wool. I like using rockwool but rooters are def way more forgiving on the watering at first.

What I think happened here is that your taproot got dried out at first and then stunted it the absolute main thing I looked for for 10+ years when doin DWC, especially with autos, is getting that taproot to the rez as fast as possible. If the taproot gets messed up in the beginning you cannot recover size wise imo.

You are lookin A OK now and you are going to get some fire ass smoke! I think your next round is going to be absolutely bonkers!
I find that folks who try DWC, and kinda fumble things the first time or two, then stick with it become some of the best.
I was just talkin to @St. Tom, (it may have been @Mañ'O'Green i don’t remember lol I do lots of dabs)about this and the old adage “lessons learned hardest are learned best” and that we have learned SO much more from our failures than from our successes. I think there is a very simple reasoning behind why that is when growing cannabis. Because we out so much time, effort, money and passion into this that any time we mess up(yes ALL of us STILL mess up) it stings quite a bit. But on the flip side it gets engrained in us “oh crap I better not let that happen again” making for a very steep learning curve. Ok I will stop rambling now. Also great job with the amount of air you are using. I did t even bring it up once(that is very rare lol, literally almost every single new DWC grower does not have enough air in the res, you get a perfect score my friend).
Here is a picture of one of the 1 lb autos I grew in my RDWC system.

Happy growin and I am subbed up watching along. If you have any questions you already have lots of help from some very qualified folks but you can always tag me or shoot me a pm and I will be glad to help

Awesome plant, Derek! What’s the strain and breeder? Great advice, too!

This was auto extreme by Dutch passion, I grew 6 of them and 5 of them were over a lb. the smoke wasn’t the best, but that may have again been due to me heat stressin the EFF out of em the last like 2 1/2 weeks

i wish incould grow a lb id only have to grow once a year. plant looks amazing. dude sheesh.
day 40
growth in bud sites is happening plant is about 9inches tall. i took off 4 leaves just to give lower sites more light. bucket smells clean although res is 72f to 74f. i think the hydroguard, pondzyme, and mykos is definately helping. ec has been holding at 0.9 all week and my ph seems to stay between 5.9 to 6.08 all week without messing with it. yayy
stats light 14in away. temp is 78f, res is 73f, added 1/16tsp pondzyme, 1/16th mykos. ec 0.9 0.5 gallon drank20200618_181711.jpg20200618_181718.jpg20200618_181722.jpg

new growth in roots. down to 0.8 from 0.9 almost a gallon gone. tomorrow instead of dumping and refilling im going to just refill the 1 gallon and go an extra week..
temps are 79f
ph dropped a lottle from 5.85 to 5.75 raised back to 5.9

my only issue is i have a clip fan fscing the ballast which also blows st the top of the plant. which works great but my big air pump is getting hot to the touch. if i move the fan to blow at the pump ehich cools it then the plant gets no air. i really dont want to add a 2nd clip fan i was thinking of putting a boxfan on the outside blowing into the side vent and putting the airpump outside the vent and kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
