Looking good. Mycos near the top can produce a green mold or algae looking. Possibly from light exposure? You can put a layer of Hydroton on top or try having the Coco dry out more. Good luck. Slow

It is green and I did use mycos for the transplant. Thinking back I believe I had more circulating air from two fans going at this stage and this temp and RH. Right now I only have one fan. So I'm going to change that right away.

Do I need to remove the mold? I read you should scrape it off and then apply a light misting of 50/50 water and vinegar.

I just don't like the way it looks. It is usually only for a brief period, when young. I avoid spreading Mycos near the top. Scrape it off and let your Coco dry out a little more between waterings. Or scrape it off and put a small layer of Coco on top, without Mycos. I think light causes it, when you have Mycos near the top.

When I did the transplant I was liberal with the mycos in the hole and some was definitely on the surface of the coco. Then I top watered. Kept temp and RH up there. Didn't have my best fan setup done yet. And it looked like algae. Green. So must have been light plus all the other stuff.

I scraped it all off, misted with vinegar water and got my fans setup properly. I'll look at putting a layer of coco on top in a day or so. I want the fans to dry things out and let that vinegar kill it first.

That reminds me, I need to start adding mosquito dunks to the watering. Put some DE on top of the coco too.

Starting my first all Mephisto grow. The last one included MG and Dutch Passion and Dinafem and Sweet Seeds and I found MG were the stronger genetics in that the flowers developed faster and had more trichomes. The others were too slow in comparison. I remember around day 50 the MGs were looking big and chunky and farther ahead by a mile and the others were just barely flowering. I'm pretty sure it was genetics that were behind that not environmental variance. But hey nothing is ever that simple.

I also put my autopots on the shelf and will be growing in 1g regular pots. Hoping the smaller size means shorter cycle duration. I really want to do fast grows from now on so that's my focus. MG beans + small pots = more great product over time.
yep...you have my dream tent.
  • 3 GWK, 3 CDLC, 2 Sour Crinkle and 2 Grapey Walters.
  • Coco
  • RO water.
  • Nutes are Green Leaf MC, SC, CMP and BE plus some Tribus microbes.
  • Temp and RH will follow the VPD chart sweet spots.
  • 24 hour lighting. Lights are 1 600w HPS (use it for heat in the winter, but not in summer) and 8 Autocobs.
  • Pots are on insulation foam board, heat mats and cork flooring planks for now. Got to keep those roots warm.

Not sure about topping and LST yet. I need to get a plan together for what is best for these strains. If anyone has some suggestions please let me know. I have never grown any of these before.

Here they are. They are a little behind right now because I had a hard time dialing in heat in the first week (it was cold) but I'm hoping they catch up and its won't matter in the end. This is day 10. And @slowandeasy I know they are behind so you don't have to mention it! :smoking:

one of my baby girls is turning out to be quite different from her sisters. This is the CDLC strain. 1 of the 3 is challenging. I don't have a solid game plan for training or manipulating short stocky indica structures. My last grow really showed how I struggled with them. And I look at others growing the strain and they look short and stocky yes but they look good.

This is day 19. I started to tie down the main stems a couple of days ago. But this one has such tight node spacing and big fans there is no room for anything.

So I'm wondering what our friends from AFN would recommend for a plant structure like this.

CDLC grows Stocky branches. Mine all did great with minimal training. Leaf tucking and plucking along the way. The secondary branches do well and it has a nice natural structure. The buds get dense and large. Big ass fan leaves are a common trait. I would not over manipulate that strain. Good luck.

Id say @mephisto strains take to lst very well.... im a bit heavy handed sometimes but always helps to bend naturally i lollypop lowers asap think topping is only suitable for the more sativa leaning strains imo.

BTW the mason jars in the background are filled with dried oregano.

That's what I tell the cops when I get pulled over :smoking:

I don't know how I missed this thread, but great setup and everything looks like it is going well. Your GW's are bigger than mine at the ten day mark so I hope mine pick up and blast off soon.

Finally someone noticed and commented about the oregano joke!!! Thanks for positive comments too.
