Not sure about topping and LST yet. I need to get a plan together for what is best for these strains. If anyone has some suggestions please let me know. I have never grown any of these before.

I’m doing “LoveStretchTraining”, aka LST, and the girls seem to like it ....

No topping or femming just Love-Stretch-Training .....

here’s a Mephisto Sam’s Crack in Love Training plus Mephisto Gold Glue ..... I use tent pegs when I first starting to train to hold down cola bud ..... I think indoors under lights LST is best option as your light can only penetrate the canopy so much ..... outdoors no light issues but inside there is .... LoveStretchTraining

Looking like some good LST applied to the Gold Glue. She is a shorter strain and it looks like you have her stretched out to the sides nicely. I am going to LST for sure. Last grow I did not top any and it went fairly well but I struggled with the really short Forgotten Strawberries and LST. I think I waited to long before I started to tie her down. So unless someone tells me one of these strains is great for topping, then the plan will be LST.

Topping can add time to total growth length. I topped a Double Grape once. It did fine, but I would rather not again with it. I prefer to grow them out without topping, but that is just me. I have space to train as much as needed. Bigger strains do better with Topping. Small indicas tend to not do as well IMO. Good luck

@lunarman and @slowandeasy ..... here’s how I’m doing my Breaking Free, aka Sam’s Crack, which we have no real breeder info on so this is never been there before zone plus add I’m new at indoor but seems to be working although concern I maybe overdoing so watching closely but here’s my process .... I start with the tent peg and find a good spot early and gently bend and as she grows I simply rinse and repeat .... on my first grow attempt I started a little later around fourth node so my first peg went on opposite side of direction I wanted to grow plant so as when I did start training I was gently pulling opposite of first peg ....

My personality kinda demands I leave this natural but I’ve tried topping with good results I guess but no side by side tests so anything I say is just opinion, not fact, but seems leaving as close to natural is where our best quality will come ..... best of grows, bros and sis’s too!

Thanks @First time grower Good luck with the FEs. I have found they are a challenge to grow. And it was on me, not the genetics. I have a couple more left that I'm saving until I feel my skills are up to the task.

Everyone will say the "right" way to germ and do seedlings is whatever works for you and I believe that for sure. I tried lots of ways before I dialed in my method (which I stole from someone). So I won't tell you why I don't like plugs and why I prefer to germ in paper towels and then in to solo cups of coco and then transplant to pots.... because you find that way is working for you! [emoji3]

And yah, over watering when young is a killer. Once you get over that its a lot easier and our plants end up being a lot better.

Yea I don't like the Jiffy Pod plugs(they hold too much water). These root riots are sponges and they will only hold the perfect amount of water(supposedly). Did you ever try the Root Riots? My Fantasmos are doing great so far(only 10 days in...but hey, small victories!...haha). What was your challenge with them? Are they finicky? These Hubbabubbasmelloscopes sure are! But, they are the first autos I've ever grown...and only my 2nd grow ever....so that could have some to do with it.

Prone to foxtailing in the wrong hands (mine!). What's your next strain to grow? Stick with good Mephisto for a while then expand out and see.

I have 2 White Chem freebies from Mephisto that will be my next 2 to go under the soil in a week or 2. I am trying to keep a cycle going of starting 2, every 3 weeks. I have been wanting to try Walter White(thought it was out of stock and it wasn't last order)...and they gave me the White Chem(WWxCD)...so it must be destiny! Haha. Then I have 2 more HBSS and 3 more Fantasmos. So I should have a couple more cycles of just Mephisto Genetics to run.
