Wonder if it tastes like chicken
In the fall when they're fattened up the fatback fries up quite tasty. A couple of my refugee ladies from Liberia were driving back from Philly to Buffalo and happened upon a deer that had recently been hit by a truck. They pulled over, butchered it with a machete and a box cutter, and filled the trunk with bloody meat. They also called that "bush meat." Canada geese are also "bush meat." Apparently in a West African marketplace, "bush meat" is not specific to any particular species. I've also heard the term used by my refugees from Central Africa (Rwanda, Burundi).

Primates are bush meat also in locations that have them….

Good morning brotha! Taking a trip to the nearest city in a while, me and wifey. Hit a sams club, Salvation Army for work pants for me ( they gonna get dirty anyways…) and maybe a couple more stops… lunch then home. Getting together with in-laws (non puffers) to drink and cards later. They know I do so no prob. Got a big porch to occupy while doing so. Mowed lawn yesterday evening so reg chores are done. Will update my threads later this afternoon when plants wake up.
Good morning buddy. Salvation army for work stuff👍 Although I got my pants this go around on a 65% off sale on galls and when my aunts paramedic license was still valid her company got us another 10% i think i got 6 pair for $110 . They're too expensive regularly but when they're on sale its worth it cuz they last me the whole year:yoinks:

We have a newer thrift store called "Savers" that has better quality stuff than Salvation Army, AmVets, or GoodWill. I get my Columbia and Cabela's clothes there. They have a huge dumpster in back that belongs to a scrap metal company, where they toss metal objects that have been on the shelf too long, often with the price tag still on it. I've gotten many treasures out of there. One day I took a car-load of refugee kids to browse the dumpster for cookware, bikes, etc. An employee on smoke break chased us out of there and threatened to call the police. We got a couple blocks away before we noticed that a 17-year-old girl was missing. When we all jumped out of the dumpster, she crouched inside instead. We had to go back for her.
