Old Reviews Coast of Maine Stonington Blend

@Daledenton84 I wake up pleasantly surprised when the discussion continues on this thread as anything will help build on our collective knowledge to make us all more successful. Don’t mind this thread becoming a stomping ground for figuring out the best practices with CoM Stonington Blend

No recharge. If you water correctly and have an air gap under the pot you will not need HydroGuard. But with big pots on the floor drainage can be a problem. In that case HydroGuard is good insurance.

Recharge is just that - it recharges soil that has run out of nutrients by adding carbohydrates and massive numbers of microbes to process any elements still in the pot. It is like hitting the nitrox bottle on a race car. But even with this the soil can run out of elements That is why you top dress.

Wow! Thank you for informing me on how recharge works. I am pretty new to growing anything, whether cannabis or vegetables etc, and a lot of my more experienced friends recommended using it, without telling me why.

Anyone supplementing with tea's between amendments?
Wondering that myself too. i was thinking more for the soil as i read with TLS you feed the microbes and they will feed the plant. but also at the time i think we trying to use as a baseline thread for CoM autoflower schedule. really curious what everyone else doing cause i have NO experience with this type of grow.

Sounds good to me @Badfinger I’m with you till the end. My plan is only thing going in the pot via water is RO water. no ph adjusting unless I see it’s really low or approved by AFNCoM committee(anyone in this thread).

Wonder if it would be a good idea for everyone doing experiment to give a brief summary of your experiment specs?
For me:
Light schedule:24/0- after first true leaves i will ramp up light to 40 DLI(+/- 2) and leave it there for whole grow.
Strain: Mepthisto genetics forum stomper
Container: 5 gallon coda grow bag
Soil: CoM platinum straight out of the bag
Germination method: wet paper towel till .25" tail then to final home.
water source: cheap RO system no PH adjusting unless below 6 water only
Feed: CoM top dress products only following autoflower schedule per CoM. ICE: i have recharge and some RAW molassas i like @badfingers idea but i don"t know how to use it.
I will be focusing sticking to the plan, LST or topping , and good watering practices with this experiment. To hopefully get a could understanding on how to TLS.

anything else please add and I will update mine. just trying to keep this detailed as possible for future CoM growers

I will be planting this week.

I now only use CoM Stonington medium, with top dressing OG plant food and a small amount of fish bone meal (takes a while to absorb completely) and I’m thrilled to be completely organic and my plants are happy and vibrant green. I don’t get much of the fade that some growers get but I’m ok with that could be my lights? Dunno I run HLG 100 x 2 and going to order another. These are all Mephisto and 1 nightowl

I have a Do-Si-Do's that is in flower and was thinking of giving this a try. It's from Royal Queen Seeds
• How banana tea benefits cannabis plants

It’s essential for flowering cannabis plants to have a good amino acid supply. Potassium helps the plant assimilate sugars, starches, and carbohydrates. Banana peels help to increase energy reserves and assist in the construction of complex carbohydrates that give structure to leaves, stems, and buds.

Potassium is also crucial as it aids in the biosynthesis of proteins related to terpenes, the absorption of water by roots, and the regulation of stomata cell guards (for opening and closing).

To help increase your yield, prepare a mix of banana tea, honey, and molasses during the last six weeks of flowering.

• How to make banana tea at home

Boil three banana peels in 1 litre of water; add a little sugar, honey, and molasses. Once the mixture is cold, remove the banana peels and use the resulting liquid to irrigate your marijuana plants.
