Indoor Zaaboot has gone to pot 2022 auto spree

SBAK Day 70 or maybe 72
  • I spent all morning cleaning them up, must have taken in excess of 150 leaves - and guess what? Looks like nothing has happened.
They are looking too top, bit of a Calmag issue which I addressed this morning with an additional dose. The amount the three of them are drinking is nuts - another 18.9 liters addedtoday after the two bottles added a couple of days back and I will add another one for good measure later today. Temps are solid and RH is floating upwards a touch so I have increased the ambient in the room to 25 to keep the RH in check.

SBAK one has until Monday night, this is a bit early I would say but she is fattening up very nicely indeed.
SBAK2 is a trooper, she stretched like mad and now is just working on joining up the dots up each branch to make nice king fat colas!
CDLCxFS is the same, all cleaned and trimmed, very sugary for such an early age, she will not get as fat as either the SBAK but I am sure she will try her best. The super cropped branch on her looks nice - all buds standing to attention along a flat lying branch

    Sawney’s tent
  • So quick update - the two Nugz are still drowning in their soil and have not perked up, their water has been completely turned off and the soil is notably drier, better news tomorrow me hopes!

All in all, it is nearly working - thanks to the help from one and all, it certainly feels like there is a grow on - the floor should disappear soon

So then, 3 weeks and the solution is....
  • Helo all - I trust everybody is tickety boo and loving the sun!

So after weeks of deliberation, and asking everyone on here, plus actually thinking for myself, I have come to the realisation that the REAL issue here is not, how do I grow weed whilst galavanting, it is that I am a baboon who cannot help galavanting around, making hard to sit in once place. Anyway, my stupidity has given rise to the clear realisation that there is nothing I can buy off the shelf that is going to keep my plants alive on my next trip from Tuesday.
The Sawneys tent, is fine - all blumat'ed right up.
The other room has a 50ltr res (give or take), which at current drinking speed allows for circa 3 to 3.5 days. This said they are being fertigated over 15 times a day for a minute a pop. I can half that easy enough, which will reduce their uptake slightly as less is being made available - this can get me to 6 days tops with slight if any noticeable detriment to the plants.

This leaves me with about 14 days to cater for.

They always say when in doubt, take a cr*p - and bygosh it worked - the Eureka moment :vibe: .
Nothing as Mcguyver as @T RAEB, that would just be silly (my conclusion is that he trained the A-Team whilst teaching McGuyver), so what is my solution: And please please please tell me to stop being a twat and it will not work if anyone has tried something like this before.

    1 - Mini float stop valve 3/4"
    2 - 225 Litre flex tank
    3 - 3m of 3/4" hose and 1 connector to the tank.

A hole will be drilled in the side of the Wilma water tank, the float will sit in that and be sealed in place with Silicon and good will.
The flexi tank will sit in the Garage (not in the lung room) and will not have a heater as I will keep the water heater in the Wilma res as that is the direct source of feed for the ladies, teh tubing will go through the wall of teh lung room and into the tent. Both the Wilma res and the 225 tank will have an water pump in there just to agitate the water (I stopped using air stones as they cause chaos with PH if unattended for more than a few days). So the Tank will feed through in to the lung room, in to the tent and feed the Wilma res once it goes below the point of doom.

In theory this will work, the numbers work out just fine, and give me a day or two extra.

    Thoughts please

    Cheers

    Sawney’s
  • So much to do, such little time - I forgot today I have to go away for my partners parents 50th wedding anniversary…one and a half days less to get my shit sorted :hookah:

Sawney’s tent is looking good - I have fucked up the Nugz - human error, and oddly enough the Slaughtered Iamb in the small pot is pretty much in its way out. All 100% human error, what I can say is the three that are in pain are the ones in the smallest pots where the blumats are just too big for the size of pot. Lesson learnt, if I was around today I would have cleaned them out and thrown three replacements in, time time time

the other SL are doing great, they are just entering their first few hairs phase - I will miss them all growing up so I will get my arse in gear and hang my time lapse to run for the 3weeks.
the Predator is a monster, I could fill the tent with four of these comfortably given space I can see it would be massive

some snaps - no time to label today sorry - healthiest you can see are the big pot Slaughtered Lambs and the Predator, Cali Doctor is going to stay a runt. The GG is now rooted nicely and growth has started in her

    Auto feed bodge
  • Hey hey - been busy for a couple of days, the expectation is tomorrow I go away for 3 weeks. The reasoning is my partner is having her foot broken today (now-ish) so we will fly out and chill from tomorrow until she can hobble around again.
Anyway - I had weeks to think of how to get this done, and finally I used a ball float cock feeding from a 225ltr tank.

Pulling it all together was easier than anticipated, filling it is taking ages and is still not full, the sheer amount of nutes that are going in is lalaloola….
But we have no leaks - emptied the Wilma to test it, it filled up and stopped when it should.

the pictures in no particular order - I drilled a hole in the lung room to feed through into the tent.

  • Looking good, the two that I thought had died are flowering but they look very dead at the same time - I think I drowned them, then thought I would treat them to Mighty Saharan drought - funnily enough they told me to sling me hook!

The other two plants in the small pots are also dropping and I have been gradually reducing it he moisture level in their pots - on the flip side the plants in the larger pots are steaming along now after the slower start.
Lecter is a real monster, I tied her down and defoliated a fair bit - you would be hard pressed to notice, the Slaughtered Lamb in the 39ltr fabric pot with living soil is thriving, a little slower then the others but looking rather lush now. The other Lamb in the big cloth bag is doing very well, she is the tallest in the room and has an excellent plant structure, very thick stems, lots of heads, nice spacing.

Overall, it’s still working - the genetics are strong as they are putting up with my sheer ignorance of working with soil.

So apart from the drowned two - all is looking well, not good enough but an acceptable start to getting my mits muddy.

    Back again...only meeee
  • So then , I went, and I stayed and did not want to return.
I spent my days pruning the Olive trees for this years growth and oil, planted about 20 of each orange trees, Nectarines, Tangerines, and Cherry, sorted out the vines for wine, and planted a load of Sawney's in the actual stream.
The idea is the Pot is full of the best soil ever (off the land which has not been touched for decades - under layers of leaves and dead wood - it was glorious), I built a small dam, and the pots are half filled with pebbles, that sits in the stream with constant running water, the soil should always be out of water but the roots can find it - it may work, it may not.

Anyhow - went to Spain and got loads of weed, it was good - but not amazing - the one that really caught my fancy was Yuzu - it tasted magnificent.
Also stocked up on the CBD - my conclusion is - it may be legal - but we can do better at home.

Nothing to do with the grow but some snaps from there

From Spain - The big slabs of Hash were from Portugal, three types - Some Bulata which is the top export Maroc and the others are regular but good Maroc - the rest is from BadDog Sevilla (worth a visit - great staff)

    Sawneys Tent
  • So, for the keen eyed you may have noticed I cant count - I went for three weeks which was probably 4 or 5 weeks, I dont know....
Anyway - first up is the Sawney tent - my first ever try at Soil - upon opening the tent, the two NUGZ at the back which I had nearly killed anyway were sort of alive, the rest looked fine apart from they had shed most of their leaves. The problem was the tank was empty, so the Blumats worked! The tank was too small - 100ltr tank will not do this amount of time with 9 plants no matter how young they are - based on the fact they were alive I must assume the water ran out a few days before hand - but the was bone dry - in fact the worms had jumped out of the pots looking for moisture.

So I filled up my 10ltr sprayer with Ecothrive Biosys and went to town, once that was done I repeated until the soil looked like it was alive again, then to the fishing shop for 1kg of worms.

Anyway - they do not look great, but considering the circumstances - I am pleased - top genetics from our captain @Sawney_bean, crap growing from myself and we will have some lovely smoke!

Predator - my favorite, the smell is superior and the colours are just lovely, great structure - it is a shame they are in my hands as this is one epic plant.

    Take care my lovelies
