I am guessing it's 50°C or more on sun. Myth: busted!

Think its more a case of they'll take whatever temps they have to, to bask in the natural sunlight.
You can just feel how much happier they are in a more natural environment.
To be honest, if it wasn't for the constant threat of crop destroying caterpillars and bud breaking dog tails, I'd be growing outside all the time - it just feels right.

The newspapers and internet are filled with stories of a Spanish heatwave, which means its going to get HOT.
Soooooooo - up early this morning and let the girls have a good drink, before the heat of the day hits them.
By the time its at its peak, they should be filled to the gills with nourishing and fortifying goodness pumping through their veins.

Still zero signs on nute burn.
Not even a tiny tip.
I'm tempted to push them a little harder, but would be keen to keep as little nute stress away from them as possible given the amount of heat stress coming their way!

Have taken some pics to really show off the LST and defoliation.
Top down pics are misleading as to how open and naked these girls really are.
It will be in the latter and final stages the benefit of the defoliation should come through - but for now, its looks a little post-apocalyptic.

Normally the playground of fluffy popcorn and disappointing bud that gets thrown away, the LST has seen lower economy seat limbs promoted to champagne swilling first class seats.

No feeding today.
Mother Nature has decided to provide the tiniest amount of drizzle today.
Can't call it rain exactly.
I'm confident my morning pee has more volume than what fell from the heavens today, but it's enough to keep the girls moist.

Things are looking LUSH.
Leaf colour is exactly how I would have it, if I had a magic wand - the lighter side of vibrant green, but nowhere near the yellow spectrum, and well away from that darker racing green which hints at N-toxicity.

Might have to break out the defoliation equipment again.
A couple of the girls are rebelling and daring me to give them another haircut.
Always up for a challenge, I have gracefully and graciously accepted.
One in particular needs a full Brazilian.

The only question I have is, "do I have something eating the girls?"
Is a creepy crawly viewing Campus as a free food service?
Maybe a soup kitchen for homeless pests and bugs.
Neem application was prior to any signs of this, and only a couple of days ago, so too soon for another application.

I can't imagine it being nute burn or splashing from watering - it might be - but I can't see how the 'splash' would only be on fan leaves, and in the most difficult part of the plant to 'splash'.

These leaves are in the central area of growth - not the outside - so I'm not sure how that could happen with clumsy watering.
Anyway - will monitor it closely over the next 24/48 hours.

Oh - and the water on the leaves in the pics IS water - that's the pathetic bladder emptying from Mother Nature.

No - I have no plans to.
Those supplements aren't in my arsenal.

I've read somewhere - can't remember where or when - that either Bud Candy or Big Bud is essentially Carboload with a few extra goodies.
Kinda makes Carboload redundant if true.

I also don't see Carboload on here, which is essentially what I'm using, without a couple of items.

To be honest - not a lot to report.
The girls are just doing their thing - Mother Nature and The Sun are taking care of the rest.
I'm just a passenger enjoying the ride, trying not to interfere.

Just to explain the pic ... Something different today.

It is looking down the row, and then the reverse direction.
I.e. Front to back, then back to front.

Not sure how much more I can open them up @Duggy !!

I've already found that on some branches, I'm at their limit in terms of tie down.
The limitation is that the 'tie' is anchored to the pot, so is wholly restricted to the width of the pot in terms of a leverage point.
Some of the branches could do with having a horizontal point a good 6 inches / 15 centimetres beyond the rim of the pot.
Hence the genius in the simplicity of @Hazy and his canes.

BUT ... The girls are only at Day 29 - not yet halfway.
So there's massive amounts for them still to show and tell, so I do need to find a solution, 'tis true.
