If I didn't know better, I'd say the girls are LOVING their new found outdoor freedom.
Relocated them too, to give them more DIRECT sunlight.

They are loving that spanish sun yoz.sorry to read about your wiring,i lived in spain for 5 years and the state of wiring is barbaric

Super scary looking at that wiring!
Glad you're okay first and foremost.

Our main problems outdoor are humidity and caterpillars, we found plants suffered more being in a poly tunnel than just being outside.
We are in a forest though, whereas your spot looks nice and open.

We grew hubbabubba last year outdoors, started indoors in 1.5 liter pots under 600w hps until 15-ish days from sprout. Then transplanted up in to 15 liter pots, I believe it was may-June time, and they outgrew the two meter height of the poly tunnel, having to be super cropped,

Looking forward to seeing them finish out!
Good luck

Yeah - those stem boring caterpillars are super pains in the ass.
You just don't see them - until its too late.
They can decimate an entire crop, which you're not aware of until you're harvesting - and its only during the trim that you find them, and the damage.
It's soul destroying.
I'm pretty sure it's from those white moths, and Neem doesn't seem to stop them.
They've had their first Neem application, and I've also got 'Snake Killer' [Bacillus thuringiensis] at the ready.
I'm thinking alternating between the two, maybe 3 days apart might be good precaution.

So Neem as first line of defense, then Snake killer as a more specific second line.
If they don't work, I also have this waiting in the wings, which combats botrytis from humidity and caterpillars ...

That was new wiring too.
Done just 3 years ago.
OMFG thats even worse yoz.when we did rebuilds in spain out in the sticks we did full rewiring and put breakers and surge protectors in.some of the wiring was just bare copper,it made me cringe

COMMENTS:

The forecast lied.
It's 32°C in the shade right now, and it's not at the hottest part of the day.

Needless to say the girls are THIRSTY!
Had to give them 3 litres each today, and they might need the same tomorrow.
Hopefully not, but tomorrow is forecast to be hotter, so they might need it.

Switched to BLOOM nutes today.

Did a bit more deforestation today.
I want both the sunlight AND any breeze that comes along, to have as little resistance as possible.
With temps in the mid to high 30's, they need as much opportunity to respire as I can give them.

Just a couple of extra titbits I forgot to throw into the previous post ...

You can see how arid it is, with the state of the ground in the pics.
Its been about 2 months since our last rain.
Local farmers are screaming and worried about mediocre crops this season due to the lack of rainfall.

Also, the pics show zero signs of nute burn - not even a hint.
They don't look hungry, so I'm confident I'm not underfeeding them.
These girls seem to be very good feeders and hardy to boot.
Not a single issue so far - a real pleasure to grow.
We'll see how they go with the new BLOOM diet.

Your plants looks great!

Myth: "plants don't like high temperatures - above 30°C".
I am guessing it's 50°C or more on sun. Myth: busted! :jointman:
