COMMENTS:
Watering now up to 3 to 4 litres per plant, per day.
So there is over 40 litres of water being put into the tent every 24 hours.
No wonder I'm struggling to keep a hold on the humidity!
It means I've had to make a decision which isn't ideal.
My biggest fear, especially with Team COB being so lush, is mould.
If i want to minimise the risk, I HAVE to get RH% down - I can't have it creeping into the 70's - not at this stage of the grow.
This means I have had to switch the extraction on 24/7, in an effort to keep the humidity at a level i can live with until I work out a more permanent solution.
The trade off has been tent temperature.
It's winter.
With the extraction on 24/7, it means there is cold air being sucked in to the tent continuously
Temps have dropped from a constant 24°C to a constant 21°C, but at least humidity now is around the 55 to 61 RH%
That's not where mould likes it, but it is still a factor if I can't get the RH% under 50.
It's also the main motivation for the defoliation haircuts.
Ideally I want the temps UP to around 26°C, the humidity DOWN to around 45 RH%, and loads of air circulation.
With current climate conditions and watering requirements, that feels more like Mission Impossible.
But hey, if it didn't test us, where would the fun be?
