yes, but you'd be surprised how fast our silly brains learn to recognize traits by leaves, stems, growth patterns... any pattern... leaves especially... i can spot most of mossy's genetics in almost any cross now... just familiar with the line...

That is true, very good point. It's definitely a good newbie breeder thing you can do though, when one isn't familiar with spotting traits and what not, such as myself. All of that will come in time.

Well I don't know at what point or what I'm supposed to pick off the male... So I think I'll just stick to traits right now. Thanks for the heads up tho...

Also is this a breeding standard?? So, I won't be a good breeder unless I smoke test my males?? I just find this very strange fellas. I've never heard this in my life. Granted just because I haven't heard of it doesn't mean it doesn't exist... I guess this just throws me off a bit.

Just read the back and forth... I have to say I'm still skeptical LOL I guess you could say I can't get my head around it. These are my issues with it and if I can get straight answers I'll try it...

1) The female doesn't get potent until trichs are present and fill up with THC... Whether clear or not it's present. At what age or what point are the males potent? Can you see trichs if you scope them or do they get you high some other way...??

2) He says "pinch off the top off the male"... Again, at what point? Top of any cola? What if his sacks are open? Are you supposed to smoke pollen sacks? I just don't understand WHERE on the male plant would trichs be present... I can see on stems and fan leaves, hence making hash with males... But, I need more specific information before I just go pick off him and smoke him.

You know what I'm saying? LOL Squid you were just as skeptical as I am. I'm sure you can understand me having questions about it lol

Thanks man! I know males mature faster... So maybe he is potent enough to smoke, like more advanced than the girls are because they haven't started Trich production yet... At least from what I can see with the naked eye... I'm willing to try it out I just don't know what to pick off to dry... Thanks again Bro and please let me know if you find out more!

Also I forgot to note that the Kush Bush pollination has took. The pistils have retracted back into the calyxes!! Looks like so far so good!
