Sorry I meant to answer your qauestion about when to start feeding autos. As soon as the seedling is above the ground and the shell has fallen away I put them under the lights in my bubbly pool. My pool water is kept at 650 ppm fertilizer level. I guess what I am trying to say is I feed them right away before any leaves are showing. I have a very low infant death syndrom. My pool is lit by CFLs which doesn't burn them at all. I guess if I was under HID lighting I might wait a while.

Well, I can say that in the 5 years I lived in Nevada I got some Master Kush, Purple Kush, Orange Krush, OG Kush, any Kush you can think of on a regular basis... That was some of the best shit I ever smoked. But I would say it was the grower. Any great grower can grow great buds anywhere... Not to knock Cali at all because what I had spoiled me for a good long time lol I got pissy when I had to go back to regs for a few years! But, I would like to try other areas of the country when it's possible. Like the Bubblegum comes from Indiana. That's some of the best shit I've ever smoked too. I'd put it in the top 5 ever list. I wouldn't mind being stranded on an island with this stuff! Can't wait to have updates for you all. I checked on the beans a few hours ago and they look like they are just starting to open up...

Hey WVR,
You can use HID lighting with photo seedlings, you just need to keep the light further away than normal. That said, I use cheap shop lights for the first week or so, just to help might electric bill because I don't need to run 400 watts, when 80 watts will do. Or you could just use your auto plants as shade, if the autos are large enough, for your seedlings.

Hey Thanks Homie! Appreciate the heads up! If I have to I may use my 150W HPS to get the photos going... Because of the size of my Autos I think I'll be OK with the photos under the 400W, since like you said I can use them as shade or because of their height, the light will be higher up off them. Just peeked in on the beans and one of the Burmese Kush is ready to come out of the shell. The shell has separated and the sprout is filling in the space ready to pop out! The other BuKu still has yet to open. The Orange Krush look like they MAY open but I'm not too optimistic because these seeds are about 4 years old exactly... I don't know how long seeds remain grow-able but we'll see. I would love to grow it again and do it right this time!!

great choice in grows! Are the BUKU from THSeeds? I had that line and it had an OG dominance to it. Mine were reg and one went male and Caterpillars some how got the other. so i didnt get to watch them flower out cant wait to watch yours mate good luck.

Hey FD! I'm honored to have you along! Thanks! Yes the BuKu is T.H. Seeds. That's great news on the OG dominace! Heard and read raves about OG Kush. Sorry to hear you lost yours... That really sucks. They are feminized and 2 came free with my Herbie's order of 10 reg Short Stuff Himalayan Blue Diesel which 7 out of 10 germ'd and are now growing. I hope I get the Orange Krush to germinate and get some healthy plants. I want to do a seed run of them because I can't find it for sale anywhere on any bean site. I have had a lot of you masters tell me it's a favorite so that tells me something when you all put it in your top strains of all time list! Hopefully I'll have at least one Buku in the dirt tomorrow! :howdy:
