Seed Stockers White Widow SCROG

Had a problem last night, one of the kids has been in the summer house and tuned the dial on my heater down , tent intake dropped to 13.8c tent was circa 22c (600 watt HPS was on the whole time) at the canopy. I woke up to an alarm going off. And quickly sorted it so it was probably only 3-5 hours. Do you think it will be ok? I am near the end, I even thought a bit of stress could cause cause some more resin production ‍♂

Those temps should be fine at the end of flowering.
In fact, a lot of growers like to force low temps at the end, to push cannabinoid production and coloration (like purple).
Though some strains can be touchy, and particularly if it's a sudden change.

Day 100
Chopped all the buds that looked ripe to me today. Had to do it in a hurry. We are on lockdown here in UK so home schooling and planting lots of veg. I put it all in a big box and sealed out the light. Will trim tomorrow. The remaining buds still have white pistols so watered and going to leave them a bit. The lower buds on the ripe plants stayed and on 2 plants they all stayed. There is a lot in that box! There are a couple of shots of the bigger buds but because of the scrog most of them were pretty big.

Thanks and good question! As you probably know we are in lockdown here in the UK and trying to homeschool children etc it is a nightmare! There is so much of it I took some time in the summer house today with my new snippy Fiscars pruning scissors and quickly realised it was going to take me hours. I managed to get a fair bit done which I have put in brown paper bags. The rest is in a drying rack hanging in my garage loft and it has started to stink the garage and some of the house out! I am planning on taking some as and when I can trimming it and putting it into brown paper bags then I will put into glass jars with humidistat and try to get to about 65% humidity does that sound like a decent plan?

Day 113

Weighed the dried first crop as 701g and I was tough on trimming as I’m making a lot of oil (didn’t weigh trimmings) cut the rest down and there looks to be more this time but more branch material so will have to see. Some of it has turned a sort of purple colour.

It smelled amazing coming off the plant and in the air as it dried but when it came out the brown bags most of the smell has gone. Deff not overdried as the jars ranged from 67% to 80% RH. I took bud from the high humidity jars and swapped it with bud from the lower ones to try and even it out which seems to be working. Will the smell come back? I noticed this before on previous grow the smell is there when you grind it but not when you open the jars. Also it all seems to smell the same and it didn’t on the plants.

67-80 is too high for jarring thats most likely why the smell is not in the jars when you first jar up do you burp them daily for a week then every other day then one a week for a bout a month that the proper way to do it but close to that will work too you want to aim for 58-63% before jarring if the humidity goes up in the jars lay the bud out in a dry place till the bud feels dry a lil crisp to the touch then back in the jars it can be a bit of a chore but well worth the effort it was over a year before i finally got the hang of it

Thanks, everything above 70% is back in brown paper at the moment, it was all reading 64-68 when I put it in the jars then it all shot up. I was aiming for 70% or less per jar then planned to burp them down to about 65% as I’d read that 60-65 was optimal. I see you go a little lower. You think the smell will come back then? It smells a little grassy at the moment. Smelled great when I cut it!

i find anything over 63% is a bit wet feeliing for me i like it around 58% doesn't sound like a big difference but it is
if you get it dried out and keep burping the jars the smell should come back after a few weeks in the jars

You stop burping when you get to target humidity though?
