Mephisto Genetics White Crack + Sour Livers SIP LOS Grow

:thanks:

Weighing a bud of this size gives you at least a hint of how dry it is in a few days and anyways I’m still a Rookie so that’s probably why and I suppose if you weigh enough wet at some point a correlation between wet and dry would be formed ........

Yes she looks cooked but still plenty of clear per wife and I’m looking at water usage, she is still drinking so perhaps a little more remaining .... I am chopping one bud in AM - no work remodel work tomorrow due to cold so I have time to devote ...... Sour Livers will soon be relocated in 24k spot,- hope that doesn’t flip her up .....

Mephisto has 24k at 60-90 grams so 4 oz would be above average bear, kinda proud considering she didn’t get much attention, maybe that’s the key?
4 oz is above average for 24 Carat. Mephisto doesnt over rate their yields, many times under rate. Actually I remember Mitch telling me that they always put the lower yield number, so when you yield better it is a nice surprise vs saying they yield a ton, then when people fall short they bitch about it! Regardless, 4oz is a great job for 24 Carat. Some phenos are smaller. I had more than 1 that was almost a single Cola plant. It always gets fat Colas. Big thick stems. I would personally put that girl in the dark til Sat and harvest.

I have never weighed wet bud and never would. Wet bud means nothing to me. When it is dry it is dry. I prefer to not tripple handle my buds and weigh them when they are actually dried. The less you fondle your buds, the better. Trim it, hang it, dry it, then weigh it when you put in Jars. Wet stems weigh a lot and most of the times people weighing wet buds have a massive stem attatched to the bud. Sure you can guesstimate your yield from weighing it wet, but why bother? That number is useless. Once it is dried, thats all that matters. You can guesstimate dryness by weighing it or by how the stems feel, bend, snap, ect. I use mini hygrometers in my jars and keep the humidity between 55% and 62% . This will give you the best cure and consistent dryness. Some people use Boveda packs. I prefer to use a qtip and water if the humidity is lower than 55%. I guess I have harvestes so much over the years that I have the feel for when its done. Peace, slow

The 24k is dry - ready to trim and put into jars - Bud now weighs 31 grams so 75% weight loss and then stem loss will figure as well so final dry but not cured should be 24ish grams .... btw slow I only weighed the one large Bud not the harvest - thing was so big I had to weigh it, at least big for my grow - outdoor grow that would be a lower Bud ...... going to take your advise and not cut any more on 24k or any of the others until I put them in a dark corner where they sit and think about what they could of done better for a couple days and if they don’t have any answers, chop chop

Nugs thus far has yielded 76 dry grams, not cured but dried and we still have more to harvest - pic shown of dried buds was trimmed and weighed pic was taken .... Nugs is plant on the right and Goldie on the left - Goldie thus far at 28 grams dried and more hanging in drying area - eI expect Goldie to yield higher than Nugs

After we trimmed stems and trimmed a few buds not shown here - weight was 75 grams

Looks good, resourceful btw, nice score .... be sure to cover any raw fruit or fruit flies and all kinds of pests will happen and it’s not that you can’t use those worms but what kind are they? They look like earthworms or European Crawlers which go deeper into the soil - in my original earthbox I had both reds and euros working .... mifht wanna consider making food bags by chopping up and putting variety in ziplocks and freeze - then pull and thaw, let them get started rotting and then feed to worms bag at a time .... add some rock dust and kelp and alpha (get at feed store) and feed worms - add leaf and straw matter as well as barnyard poop if toy can’t get .... harvest castings and worms and grow Flippin big plants, easy cause worms are the worlds best gardeners - just take care of the worms with variety and add in all these little things shown here in this chart.

Good luck, you have a very positive attitude and a nice start, you will do well with Organics, keep studying, its a life long course!
Hey buddy I emailed them and asked about the worms! Did u think they looked big is why u thought they were earthworms or euro nightcrawlers? The owner that answered me said they are red wigglers but they have been eating pumpkin all winter to be able to breed?? I have no clue if that’s right but what I was told! Oh also I didn’t have any old veggies so actually went to Walmart and asked for some produce they were gonna toss in the dumpster n I got that box! Do I remember u saying NOT to give em banana peel? Also do I need to skin fruits or some of their veggies or just chop em into smaller reasonable sized pieces? Thanks as always buddy:bow:

Also they weren’t bullshitting me cuz I just went and checked their website and they ONLY SELL red wigglers! They don’t carry multiple kinds to choose from so they gave me the correct ones! So is some soil (was already fuzzy from mycelium), lil barley straw, and then I shredded the few sheets of newspaper the worms came wrapped in inside their box good as their bedding?? And I gotta handful of brownish straw that was breaking down in that bucket (tossed it in moist to break down) n then sprinkled tablespoon of kelp powder n same of rock dust on it and put it off to 1 side?? After I tore off a big square of cardboard and covered em and then tossed the lid on it! Sound correct for bedding n food? Also is that too much rock powder n kelp and should just be using a fraction? :thanks:

Pics can be deceiving but yes @TxRebel or Mark the worms looked larger than normal - nice score my friend ... what was the source on those for others looking if you could post link - thanks .....

I was going over your Walmart score and realized I saw a pepper in that box - some say avoid peppers, especially hot ones - anyways here is a chart I have printed off and keep by my bin ...... good luck with your new resource - worms are the worlds best gardeners :shooty: Hands down partner!

Yes sir I thought I remembered that they only carried what I needed and was local to me so I had lil cheaper option to pick em up cuz their normal prices all include shipping! Also thanks for that chart cuz like anything else searching google for sites just blindly you’ll see diff answers all over so drives me bonkers! Why I’m not on several weed forums n just here! Try to find trusty site/people n stick to answers from those who use same method! Like saw multiple sites saying no eggshells but others saying they can’t have any egg white (membrane) inside the shell n going em up n also helps with digestion n ph of soil! So gets confusing so appreciate u helping me out here!
You da man buddy!:worship:
Also here is link where I got those from! Good people too!

A BIG YES on banana peels, for sure give them banana peels ..... Slice up food and make it smaller - slice long ways not into square pieces - do not skin fruit - leave those skins and steams on them .... I slice and put into plastic grocery bag, fold and put into freezer - freeze then pull and take down to worm room where bag sits in a bucket with a lid and rots some - I will then spread as is in a corner or mix in with some leaf or straw matter and add kelp, rock dust and fine ground egg shells that I run thru strainer - ingredients added like wife adds spices / salt and pepper when cooking so it’s just sprinkles of a few digestive helpers - I like variety so egg shells and rock dust, sometimes even a little masons sand which is a very fine sand verses play ground sand, which is courser ..... Most welcome, good luck!
