Mephisto Genetics White Crack and Kis Organics Soil

Soon I’ll be testing the Juniors - having grown only one plant in the Original I have at least an idea what to expect and watching slow as well - coupled along with I grew a few girls in cloth pots at the same time helps, especially since I’m repeating a couple strains - two will get transplanted tomorrow ......

Hey @MrOldBoy

Probably more suited to your other thread but... If I get my bigger LOS/SIP containers going, I'd like to consider adding earthworms. I do not have a bin (may or may not start one in the summer). Do you have to add any additional worm food to your SIPs while growing -- or is the organics already in there good enough? Just wondering if I have to throw some produce or something in there to keep 'em happy.

Myself I think zero teas but top dress ..... Grew some comfy over the summer and have some dried for top dressing and food for the worms but no tea .....

As @Organic Sinse said sometimes the best Route is to LTFA - prepare soil, plant and water that’s it - We have a nice plant growing and we try to improve rather than just let it do its thing.

The only tea I am doing is AACT bi-weekly or less. Man, the rabbit hole for organics is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay deeper than hydro.

Although, based on your thoughts and others for my 5 gallon bucket -- I am considering a nutrient tea to get the food in there since I'm running without a cover currently.

For the earthworms you’ll want red Wigglers, composting Worms ..... I like the speedy worm Company https://shop.speedyworm.com/composting-worms-p6.aspx

I have not added any dried bananas or vegetable scraps but I do add in things like a sprinkle of KIS Nutrient Pack, kelp, karanja but in very limited quantity on the karanja but what I do add is mulch - stuff like shredded dried leaves, straw and dried comfy - I always soak my dried mulch for a few days before applying and make sure I kinda “wring out” the material before applying .....

Thinking about it I suppose you could add limited quantities of banana peels and certainly crushed egg shells ..... FREEZE your vegetable scraps before adding ..... Freezing helps them break down quicker .....

But you want to be careful adding green matter like fresh grass clippings as it will rob the soil of nutrients breaking down .... So one needs to be careful but I do believe healthy worms equals killer grow result.

Get a trash bag and cover your bucket - A pro grower did aside by side compare - one with a plastic cover - one without - the one with the plastic cover won and plus a plastic cover keeps bugs from migrating from soil to plant and back to soil ..... I cannot express how important the plastic mulch cover is ..... Wicking water up the five gallon is challenging but with the cover you’ll find the moisture more even, cover it bud.

Since you seem to be leaning towards teas, have you thought about comfrey or horsetail tea for silica? Or bamboo flakes? Or rice hulls in the soil?

I haven't done or bought anything yet.
I am not leaning towards teas, I was just told that SST helps to kick start Flowering very quickly. So I am going to try it out. I sprouted some Organic Popcorn. Should be good to blend later Tonight. I have small tails on most of the corn. The plan is to use SST right before flowering starts. That is the only Tea I plan on doing. I will use MBP and top dress. But I want to keep using Tap water only in the Rez for now. I want to hold off using Silica in the Rez for a couple more plants. I don't want to switch too much at once. Slowly add pieces to the puzzle. Really I cannot believe how HEALTHY my plants are. Here is what I did last night to my Organic girls. Turned the faucet on, filled 3 gal of tap water. Added 1/2 gal of tap water to each Rez. Put cover cup back on feeding tube. DONE.
I candy cane trained the veg plants. That is so easy and fast too. Now I have to switch some plants around.the veg plants are kicking ass! Growing so fast. Perfect color and rapid growth. A few days ago I top dressed the 3 plants in late veg. I already notice that they are transitioning faster than my first ones. I will be using the SST on those 3 later tonight. Perfect timing for it to help kick flowering into gear faster than the first few plants. Speeding up the Flowering process is my Goal now, because it is the most noticable thing that needs to be done to maximize the potential of the Kis Soil. I think with the early intervention, weekly top dressing, and SST at the sign of preflowering will shave some time off of the total grow time vs my first attempts. My WC is changing fast. Bulking up nicely, frosting up good, but yellowing a little more than I want at this stage. A week ago I said 3 weeks left. I was pretty right on the money, she has 2 weeks left by the current growth rate and Color. I will top dress once the stuff from BAS arrives. But I won't expect the color to darken up, but want to take her more than 2 weeks if possible. 18 more days looks like about perfect by her daily growth rate. Plus that would allow a few more days of bulking up. Totally happy with this plant! The smell is Really starting to pick up and the trichs are frosting daily. Bud Density is nice, which doesn't surprise me by the veg growth. Nice thick stems to support nice dense buds!

Candy Cane Training sure helps beef up the stalks - Hey lets sell CC Training Kits .....

Good luck with WC - under 3 weeks to harvest, I can’t wait to see the results .....

Can you borrow wife’s iPhone and give us an up to date pics, been awhile since we’ve seen her?

Awesome. I'm running my two 24CxCQ au natural. They are short and squat thus far. I think I read that MBP ~ SST

If you choose not to use malted barley on your plants, then I highly suggest using sprouted seed teas! Both provide similar benefits to compliment your other top-dressings or botanical teas.

So my plan is
- weekly MBP/Aloe
- Alternating Recharge/AACT weekly or when I feel like it
- Bi-weekly topdress, starting with just 2-2-2, then 2-2-2+3-9-4 then just 3-9-4. If I start around 30 days with 3 bi-weekly feedings, that'll put my feeds around week 4, week 6, week 8.

Hopefully that is sufficient to get across the finish line, although if I hit week 10 and there is still a few weeks left -- I will re-evaluate.

I will grab her phone tonight, mine is worthless. She gets all.pissed off when I take her phone to take pics, so I wait til she falls asleep! Because of the yellowing, I am not sure if WC will go 3 more weeks. It will go 2 weeks for surely. But at the pace she is going, she will be ready to go sooner than later. Like I said, WC flowers fast once it is near the end. I have done a lot of them. She is the largest WC I have done, so I expected a little longer growing time. I love that strain!

Do you adjust your Aloe amount? I am holding off on Aloe for now. I was told to use 200x and it's not necessary daily like manh people use it. Thst would get expensive really quickly in my garden. Too many plants to use daily. But @Organic Sinse suggested foliar spraying with it. I have bought into a lot of stuff already, I will hold off until I get a couple harvests before using it.
