New Grower What do you think of this DIY First Grow?

I'm going to be growing in a space bucket as soon as my blue mystic auto seeds come in from nirvana. I've got 4 23w, 100w equivalent lights and 2 150w equivalent lights on my lid. the 100w are blue spectrum and the 150w are red. I've got a 80mm intake pc fan and another squirrel cage type pc fan that pushes way more air also pulling in fresh air. For an exhaust I've bought a inline duct fan to pull out the heat. I'm planning to build a carbon filter to put on the duct work that I already have instaled. I'm good to grow if I had my seeds. I'm getting ready to order some nutrients an suggestions? It's my first grow.

Sounds like you've got a pretty slick setup so far man, this was my first grow also and as for nutrients I've gone with the FF (Fox Farm) Grow Big, FF Big Bloom and FF Tiger Bloom.

What I've found is that it all depends on what type of medium you want to grow in, some soil/Grow medium manufacturers will already have all the nutrients you need to see out the life of the plant.

If I do use any nutes I dilute 1/2 of the recommended dosage for stage of plant with 6.5 PH water.

Less is definitely more when watering your plants.. More likely to save your plant from under-watering than over-watering.

All the best!

I have some vermiculite and worm casting, but I need to know what base medium is good to use and how to mix it so that's I don't burn my babies! Lol

I'm based in the UK and currently I'm using normal reduced peat compost mixed with some perlite and stones bought from the garden center to keep it airy. I thought my plants would suffer from nute burn as well but if you flush the soil and leave it to dry out under light for 24-48 hours you should be fine..

I've also heard that fox farm themselves do a growing medium with all the nutes you need for the entire life cycle; I think that should be widely available throughout the USA

Thanks buddy, I just bought some echo earth coco choir but I'm not sure if I have enough. I do have some worm casting. That will help some. I was wondering if it would be ok to use some vermiculite to my mix to fill up my 5 gallon bucket that's like 19 liters I think.

Yeah man! It's all a learning curve.... You never know you might be on to the best medium to grow cannabis in.
You don't know unless you try [emoji41]

Let me know how it goes
