All right after reading up for about a half hour i figured out what a flush was lol!

Im wondering if this is even possible with my MG soil? I know its packed with nutes and I'm definitely not using any extra nutes, so is a flush even possible in my case? I definitely dont want my bud tasting bad or anything lol any input would be great!

Also i realized i barely ever comment on other threads than mine and growbewans so I've been exploring the site a lot more and trying to post when i can give a little bit of input or if i relate to their situation, hopefully learning alot more in the process and makin some more friends on this amazing site!

haha i hear ya code, sometimes i have questions that i feel are so dumb that im afraid to ask. in fact, i started a thread about it! anyhow regarding exploring a little bit, absolutely! Its great to check things out. I also recommend checking out the plant/bud of the month. Every member on the site gets an email from the the head guy "thai buddha man" here on AFN with the link. check it out and vote! in fact, if your nugz get nice enough, someone can vote you in and if you win you get some free seeds mailed to you. Its pretty awesome and this is the only forum site that does that. Anyhow, as usual, your baby is looking sweet, and as far as flushing with mg soil~ im not sure its possible either. I know they have extended release nutrients, so the more you water, the more nutes they give...i just dont know if they eventually wear off or what? Thats another great question for muddy. He's def a guru when it comes to growing. Well great job buddy, keep it real!

That's part of the problem with the MG soils. Their slow release nutes are designed to release for 3 months, about the same amount of time it takes to grow an auto, so they are hard to flush out. Flushing does help and I would still recommend only plain pHed water the last two weeks. It will help to reduce the amount of nutes in the soil, but obviously won't totally get rid of them since they still may be releasing. But it should improve the taste of your buds.

Yeah i didn't think it was possible to really flush... but since im already only watering with double purified water that i let sit out for 2 days with no extra nutes, do i just keep watering at the same rate without nutes? I forgot to mention that i received watering spike from ebay lol they were 3 bucks for 2 shipped and they use a siphon and a porous ceramic cone to slowly drip water into the soil, it seems to be working perfectly giving little to no runoff and using up a pitcher of water in a little less than a week, at first i thought this was using a ton of water but my girl seems to think its just fine and the soil is never drenched or wet, just moist most of the time. When the pitcher runs out of water i let the soil dry out before adding more water in order to give the roots a chance to grow, I would just normally water it personally but it's been getting increasingly harder to sneak into my basement and check on her daily. Ill update with pics tomorrow!

On another note i seem to be done retrofitting my old mini fridge as a grow box! I have 4 2700k Cfl's and 2 5000k cfl's, I'm waiting to receive my 2 computer fans. Im wondering, since i need the plants to be about 12" MAX should i worry more about which strain to grow? or is it more dependent on what container i grow in? I'm probably gonna use really small pots around 3" or party cups and only grow 2 plants. Ive seen tons of pics of plants that are short as hell and only a single kola from the base up. Let me know if you guys got any tips for keeping some auto's extremely short and non bushy. THANKS!!

Yes, continue watering at the same rate, just without any nutes.

To keep those plants small will take a combination of small pots, the right strain and some pruning and maybe some LST. Check out the micro growers forum. Lots of people there doing micro grows that can give you some ideas. I've not any micro growing myself.

Ok thanks for the tips muddy!!
Heres a pic update, just noticed some amber on one of the biggest side buds! All the other buds are still nice n white but this ones lookin good as hell!
Just sayin, my flash makes the pics look ridiculous! It makes it impossible to see how it really looks but it lights up each individual bud! Lol lovin it

yeah man, looks awesome! as far as using smaller cups, that def helps, but sometimes huge plants grow out of them just as much. there is a 16oz competition on here ill leave you the link if you want, but youll see what im talking about~ small cup or not, they can still get pretty damn big! so with that said, LST, and pruning is the way to go as well, listen to muddy fo' sho'! and you cant get away to water? what are you growing in the same house as people who cant know about it? hahaha (A.K.A. your mom or something?) keeep up the great growing homey! its been a blast keeping up with ya so far

Thanks for the tips, and nah im growing at my girlfriends and i dont always get a chance to water but ive removed the watering spike because the other day it over watered ALOT and there was a ton of runoff so ive been doing nomal watering since... Sorry i havent been updating or around much, my camera on my iphone broke so i need to get it replaced and ive been working alot lol Next week i should be back to smoking though!
Ill update as soon as possible but shes still looking great, buds are really starting to beef up
