Looking real nice. Yes, once you get into pre flower the vertical growth really takes off. It should continue for another couple weeks so expect your plant to get a lot bigger.

Picture of health, oldboy. What were you worried about eh? ;)

Looking forward to seeing her getting bigger. Still subbed-in.

Morning All,
I never mentioned that after changing the bulb on Thursday Friday evening I noticed the very tip of the highest leaf had turned yellow.

At the time of noticing this, the leaf was about an inch and a half away from the bulb. I just assumed that the light was too close. So I moved the bulb to 4inches away and thought no more of it.

Today I have noticed more tips turning yellow, again at the high point of the plant.
As mentioned yesterday I did decide to water again given the dryness of the soil. I did again add nutes to this feed. 2ml BioBizz Grow in 3ltres of water.

I honestly thought I was going easy on the nutes. The bottles states 2-4ml per ltr. So i could have added 6ml-12ml to the last feed. I only added 2ml.

Wednesdays feed was even less, 1ml to 2 ltrs of water.

So here is my panic.

  1. Now if the tips started turning yellow after Wednesday feed, Can I expect a major deterioration in the plant in the coming days following yesterdays feed.?
  2. As she was only watered yesterday how do I flush the nutes out without drowning her?
  3. What long term damage have I caused?

The lights are off untill this evening. Once back on Ill take some close up pics.

Appreciate any and all help on this.

Regards

No need to panic. First thing to do is check the heat at the canopy top. Even though you're using CFLs that 250 is still going to give off a bit of heat, especially from it's ballast. Hold your hand at the canopy top, palm down, and see how the heat feels on the back of your hand. If it's comfortable for you, it's comfortable for the plant. If it feels too hot, raise it up till it feels comfortable.

I doubt you have overfed them, given that you are still giving about 1/4 strength, so next thing to check is your pH. If it's off it can cause problems that can mimic deficiencies or other issues. What's the pH of your run off? Until we know that I wouldn't do anything else.

Hi Muddy,
Many thanks for setting my mind at ease.

I stupidly still haven’t purchased a PH pen yet and I haven’t measured PH of run off since starting. I appreciate how stupid I must seem asking for help and not being able to provide essential basic information. I will look into this asap.

Attached are some pics of what’s going on.

Thanks again,

I sincerely appreciate the response.

That does look like a little nute burn. Can you also post a picture of the whole plant? It's always helpful to have both, a close up as well as the whole thing. Also, move them from under the lights when you take the pictures. Seeing them in natural light is always best as the coloring from the lights can sometimes be misleading.

Yes, knowing your pH is so important. What sometimes looks like a deficiency can actually be the plants inability to take up that particular nutrient because the pH is off. You treat the deficiency thinking it will help but all it does is make things worse.
