Indoor Vapo Goes With Dutch Pro!!

When you say "mirrored" is that literally a mirror finish?
Most reflectors have moved away from that style of reflector, now preferring the plannished (hammerd) finnish.
The only Sunsystem air cooled reflectors are in 5" & 6" sizes I didn't find any other sizes,

Grow Cooled Reflector Hydrofarm Radiant Series 6"
Closest I could find, with a mirrored surface.

Nah dude it's this one...

But it's an all in one unit and I think it's only available in the U.S.A....I did think about a Shinobi parabolic but I am just gonna stay with what I got....

Think this might be what you are looking for.
The Sun Systems LEC reflector for 315W CMH light is an American made vertical lamp reflector. They are actually a special UK edition of the top selling Sun Systems LEC 315W which has a built-in ballast - the UK edition is exactly the same fixture but without the ballast. £99.95

The Shinobi is also available from the same supplier £84.95

Thanks my bro, I think I will have to buy the UK version when I have some Dosh....did you see the one in my post above bro?....the all in one with the mirrors is the one I wanted, but it's USA only I think?
...and the Lumatek Shinobi bro(I asked Lumatek this question but never got an answer?)...it's not a 315w CMH fixture, which means it's an E40 lamp fitting...and I would have to use an adaptor...and that means the bulb would be further out than normal. That means all the light refraction test results etc. etc....would be different for a CMH bulb...and as Lumatek didn't answer....I put the Shinobi out of my mind lol.....thanks for all the effort tho my dude.... :bighug: :d5:

In reference to the second light with mirrors I did find the odd one with a ballast in the US but they are silly money, seeing as you just want the reflector.
So I went to Ebay.com to look and see if there was a used one for sale cheap... not a bit of it, the prices were even higher.

It looks to me as if the mirrored on is no long in production (I could be wrong though) but all the ones I am seeing have ther planished finish.
I often find an image search works better than putting in the name of what you are looking for.
I used the picture you posted and then did a left click on it (PC) and click "search google for this image"!
From there I could open a picture and see what details are there.

I also checked Ebay.uk, which had just the reflector or the full 240v set up (reflector, bulb, ballast). They all had the planished finish
So it looks like the UK version, is the only one readily available.

Regarding the Lumatek Shinobi, I would guess the answer is their monkeys had no idea, so it got ignored!
Bad customer service, is some I abhor!
So here is my reply and you can take it with a pinch of salt.
I will however explain my thinking.

Seeing as the CMH/LEC (which is a blend of HPS & MH tecnology) is a shorter bulb and the adapter looks like it shouldn't add more than 2 CM (my reckoning is that it looks to add 1.5 CM) to the bulb length.
Then I would say if the reflector is designed for an HPS bulb, it then should be fine for a CMH with and adapter & still be in reflective sweet spot.See picture below.

If a garden knows his onions, you'd think Lumatek would know their bulbs!

One more additional piece of info is the CMH/LEC/CDM fixture is known as "PGZ 18 holder"
There are many converters for "E40 to PGZ18" and for a lot less than Lumateks price, after all they are just selling 3rd party piece of equipment and sticking extra money on it because they are Lumatek.
Ebay and other grow shops have them for less!
Often for a tenner or less.

I'm adding the Safety Instructions even if you have already read them, I'd hate to see anything happen to a pal!
It will also benefit the readers of you journal, who may want to do the same!

Instructions for E40 to PGZ18 converter (E40 to CDM)
Screw the adapter into your current reflector E40 fitting and screw the CDM lamp as tightly as possible into the converter in your reflector. Use a clean, dry cloth for this. Tighten the lamp as tightly as possible. Failure to do so may cause sparks to form between the center contact of the lamp and the bulb holder. This will cause the solder contact on the bottom of the lamp to melt, causing damage and making it unusable. Therefore, make sure that the lamp is clean and completely free of fingerprints. Finally, hang your reflector at the correct height for the CMH lamp. Plug in the power cord and turn it on. The ballast starts up and illuminates the lamp.

The wattage of your ballast MUST match the wattage of the lamp you are using. Once this deviates, there is a high risk of fire or equipment damage. In addition, never use an HPS or MH ballast with CMH lamps.

Thanks bro, I already have an adaptor and I after looking at the graphic you posted, I totally agree with you bro.....I had up until now presumed that HPS bulbs were the same size....I have never used a HPS light haha.
I was also wondering what the name of a CMH bulb fixture was?...PGZ18 is committed to memory now bro....thank you for all the information Arty....Top bloke! :bighug: :d5: :d5: :LikeWeed:

Happy to help bro!
Although I don't think I will be going back to HID's, it is where I started with a 400W Son-T Agro (added blue spectrum), nearly 30 years ago lol .
These days I am a LED nut.
The PGZ18 socket is sometimes called a "CDM socket"!
It was a hard slog, when there is little to go on & many different searches need to be done, I often find that most never bear fruit!
However to be able to find info for a pal, that is what makes it all worth the time ans effort!

Hello AFN......well, I have took the SF1000 out if the bloom room......so we are down to just a single 315w CMH on 18/6 now, which I have centered in the tent.....and to make up for the loss in watts...I have lowered the light to around 20" above canopy....I don't think that losing the qb will make much difference really....I have done well in the past with just a single CMH...also I don't think there is a 300w LED out there that would beat a 315w CMH side by side.....maybe a sanlight?.....idk haha....also the Buddha's tree Solar Green Power arrived with my new Tower fan......what else did I change???.....I have also put the veg cabinet back to just 18/6 instead of 19/5...I fed the DP Auto Mazar and the SS Northern Lights Auto but forgot to take any pics dudes...sorry hehe...but all three are coming along well....I think that's about it readers...take care and be good to one another...peace!
