New Grower using hps lights for autos.

I started a grow in a 2 x 4 tent with a 400 hps. It had 15 ..1 gallon square pots (6 x 6)...it was tight until the males showed and were pulled. 9 females remained...average height was 18inches...average weight was just between 1/4 - 1/2 ounce usable bud, and maybe 1 more ounce in seeded bud...
it took only 90 days from dropping seed to vaping 2 week cured bud.
total yield was around 4 ounces dry...and a batch of edibles.

Any method u prefer for lst?

look into the tier method where u grow in party cups then it makes it so much stressless for the plants ....seem them making strong roots in the party cup speeds the growth since u can feed the cup directly with nutes and they absorb the shit out of them ......I will always tier from now on ~!!!!!

also ther is LST on youtube videos everywhere so pick ur choice ....should have TIER methods there too

Any nutes u would recommend from personal experience? I've used floranova for previous grows and had trouble with nute burn. I'm looking to buy some new nutes so I'm open to any suggestions.

there is a product named Grow More Seagrow that a great grower recommends ......Seagrow 16-16-16 and then for bloom the 4-26-26 ....I just gave my 25 day old ladies their first drink of it this am and they have almost doubled .......its realitively cheap about 60-70 for both and u will need some black strap molasses ....i have 2 line as im testing different dirts for flavors and using roots liquid line up but the Grow More stuff is cheaper and better from experienced growers .......

the curtain one had the cheapest for 5lbs and shipping wasnt bad ......ur gorwing small buckets right i did a mix of 5 gal and 3 gals and that was a mistake it can throw ur gorws of timing from each other and fuck up ur light spacing

i just made these mistakes so go all the same size pots and 5 gal in a tent is a PAin in the ARSSEz to move around .....

Before you go out and do anything lets first find out more about what you did before. Your setup sounds good. What kind of soil did you use, what size pots, what strains, what nutrients and when? The more you can tell us the better. You mentioned over feeding them. How old were they then?

Thanks man stuff like that is what I need to know I've grown sum ak47x lowryder 2, big devil, and sum fast bud but the yield has always been small even though the plants appear healthy. I keep the ph around 6.5 and also mix perlite with the soil. If I could get an oz per plant I'd be more than happy. I use a 400w in a small grow tent with good intake/exhaust fans. So I'm not quite sure why my previous plants turn out with no more than 10 gs each. Any ideas?

I had a couple ak47x lowryder 2 in three gallon pots with ocean forest soil mixed with perlite. I used a small amount of floranova on one and it got nute burn I immediately flushed it and gave it water water with a ph around 6.5 while I gave the others nothing but distilled water with a ph around 6.5, at the end of the harvest they were equally small. I'm confident my 400w hps, with ocean forest soil, in 3 gallon pots will be fine for my next grow (3 think different autos currently in transit from attitude seed bank) I'm just looking for good info before I get them and start germination.

How old were they when you started feeding them the nutes? Also, how tall were they when they sexed and how many leaf nodes?

I'd say around 4 weeks is when I gave one a small amount of nutes jus for experiment while I gave the others nothing but distilled water. They were feminised seeds so I wasn't looking to determine sex. I still have plenty of FloraNova for root growth and another for flowering. The first time I used less than the recommended amount and still got nute burn. Should I put even less or get some new nutes from my local hydroponics store?
