Yes, unfortunately it was a tough contest to staff and there were many months we didn't get a lot of member submissions/support, so we did away with it for the meantime. We've since been working on the grow battles (and it's a work in progress, we all know it needs some polishing (maybe even a few rough cuts still,)) but we'll see what works and what doesn't and build from that. We've got a ton of other contests we're planning for every single month of the year as well that are non-grow related.

We're not saying we won't ever see BOM/NOM/POM ever again (maybe not so many -om's though lol.) Just needed a breather to reassess, that's all.

I know Jingo & I would love for you bring that back. I know a lot also goes by how much the breeders gonna join in on things like that. Maybe I just know from my own experience I have hard time finding things on here, even the comps Jingo had told me about and the photo contest, so maybe that is why people couldn't find maybe certain info can end up on everyone main page they log into. Like contest,events etc just a thought because it can be overwhelming trying navigate through the site, so much info in so many places..

A very common complaint. I have a big word document open right now as I type this full of definitions and explanations on where things are. I'm going to make big ass pictures with bright red arrows pointing things. Honestly maybe even some youtube videos with audio explaining some things. I'm also going to redo all the site icons and color code/coordinate sections to make them a bit easier to navigate through.

oh really am glad I am not only one having problems finding things, but i'm good at ideas also.. I know jingo is also. I'm sure i can come up with few ways that may help nag, if they already haven't been thought of. I'll let ya know soon about that.

I found out it ended on 7/30, and already held vote which has ended as well. wow I had no clue it was even over yet, until I happen notice a post of comp finalist..very strange no-one mentioned when I posted updated photos on 7/30 or 8/4 that it was over... If this was a photo grow then I could take responsibility but it's not I have Zero control of how long auto's take, actually the very funny part of all this they will be starting finals on 9/1 and my GSC will still be chugging along, lmao... Never again a comp with a time limit involved.

My Pineapple Express is sure taken some time to ripen up, yesterday I looked through scope @trics and kinda surprised to see zero amber, mostly clear and only few cloudy here & there. 104 days into this grow is kinda unbelievable on 63 day strain and still several days to a week to go at minimum. I think the GSC is a 55 day strain it says that also at day 104 with couple weeks left on that one yet. Photo updates in few mins.

surprisingly the PE still drinking 2qts a day, GSC about 3qts per day. I thought maybe the color just wasn't gonna change on my PE, even though I have enough temp difference between day & night temps. maybe it will this week? It completely got covered in trics this past week, even more then it was. The aroma getting very strong on the PE. Enjoy today's shots!

You got some real serious foxtails going on there, that plant may never finish if they keep growing.

yeah, we had a terrible week of weather last week. I think extra heat caused that. it still looks nice, I just not seeing even 30% cloudy yet It has grown even in last 3 days if you look back on 8th I think. I thought color would change or the trics would get more cloudy, seems way to much clear for me. oh and I added the 300w led to hit lower parts of PE which has helped alot, that been on there 4-6 days or so. The bottom of the PE definitely not ready yet though, all them buds closest to hps ended up with foxtails only coz I can't move light up so could only move PE away light and its about an inch under the hps thats why I need keep off to side I been keeping about 13-14inches if possible from light. the Trainwreck has very slight foxtail also just on main cola,that's very slight. this was a catch 22, coz I couldn't move lights up because of other plants so I could only move it away from the light. and to be completely honest I thought these would been done by now, at-least the PE I figured.

thank you @Mizzo81 , today when I looked in on them at lights out. I am finally starting see reds/purples starting on leaves and tone of buds starting to get darker. Still when I checked trics am still seeing mostly clear & few cloudy here & there, just way too much clear trics for me personally and this being a sativa I know I will not enjoy it if I take a sativa too early, the foxtailing I can deal with it don't bother me to-too much, but not having smoke-able weed will bother me. I did a durban poison I had throw out coz was simply to racy for me and I don't want that with this, thats why am trying hold out until I am able see atleast 1 or 2 ambers if even possible but has be mostly cloudy also and just am not there yet. I'm keeping close eye and painstakingly waiting for them trics.
